All the usual suspects are in Pierre for your shopping needs - Walmart, Sears, Kmart, JC Penney etc., and can be found in the Pierre Mall which serves central South Dakota residents.Actually, Walmart stands alone away from the mall, but you get the idea.

There are smaller specialty shops scattered through the town, but generally speaking, Pierre is not the place you're going to find high-end fashion and off-beat trendy shops. It's a beautiful town, but people come here for the attractions and the outdoor adventures. Don't waste too much time shopping - you can go to the same stores back home. Get outside and enjoy all the natural wonders that Pierre has to offer.
