Although Pierre isn't a big city, there is opportunity to get out and enjoy your nights while in the area. The city originally started out as a place where gamblers and ranchers stopped along the way west, but now it's a family-friendly sort of place. That doesn't mean you can't find a place to get your drink on, however. The American Legion Post No. 8 has got good eats, while the staff at The Grandstand mixes up a mean cocktail. Locals are always up for a good time, whether that means karoake, live music or playing pool. And if you're willing to try something a little different, check out the square dance halls to test your skills.
