The seedy, down-at-the-heels "greeter" starts the Amazing Jonathan experience right at the door.  Sneering look, palm obviously held out for a tip (which he didn't receive) he leads you into a seedy, down-at-the-heels theatre with a nearly bare state.  Projectors show bits from recent goofy movies, getting the crowd laughing; an off-the-wall act opens the show; then it's time for The Amazing Jonathan himself, doing virtually the same show that almost everyone in the audience had already seen, most more than once, on the Comedy Channel.  Familiarity with Jonathan's material breeds anything but contempt: the laughter starts immediately and doesn't stop until the very end of the show, which comes all too quickly.  Sure, there's bad language, bad taste, extraordinarily bad magic.  But it's funny funny funny and you'll probably go back a second-or third- time.
