While there are a myriad of restaurants and dining options in Las Vegas, sometimes you may be more interested in places that have a theme or some sort of entertainment.  There are several places where you can get a cheap meal, which is fine most of the time.  Sometimes, though, you want something a bit more special.  Here are a few such places that will make your dining experience truly unique.

First up, on the strip, is the Rainforest Cafe at MGM.  With all of the trees, water, animal noises and other tropical scenery, it's easy to think that you've stepped into a real jungle.  The tables are set right in the middle of all of this, so you're always in the action.  Every half hour or so, there is a "storm" with rain and lightening.  The food is very good, too, with big portion sizes.  While it's not gourmet, it's better than expected.  After you're done eating, don't forget to purchase a lightening glass in their store!

Next is Kahunaville at Treasure Island.  This is basically a smaller version of the Rainforest Cafe.  There are waterfalls, colorful lighting, and jungle noises in the background.  If you go there for breakfast, try their deep fried coconut french toast!  They also have great tropical drinks.

Also on the strip is the Cheesecake Factory at Caesar's Palace.  It doesn't have a tropical theme but when you're eating, you get a great view of the talking statues show.  The best thing about this place, though, is the service.  The dishes are explained, adjustments can be made, drinks are always being refilled, and they are just generally very attentive.  The food is also excellent and they give you a lot of it.  Don't forget to save room for a slice of their famous cheesecake!  

There's also plenty of cheesecake off the strip at Cheesecake and Crime.  Located in the Kmart Shopping Center at St. Rose Pkwy. and Eastern.  As the name suggests,  you can get just about any type of cheescake, freshly created by Chef Lendall. While you're in suspense about which cheesecake to choose, find a great mystery or suspense novel to buy. This is a place to satisfy your palette and your brain. Fun and fulfilling.
