A broad selection of restaurants are available that offer both Tunisian and international cuisine. Some of the better restaurants can be found in the hotels and resorts. Also, many of the restaurants cater to tourists with English speaking waiters and non-Tunisian food selections.

Tunisian food is quite tasty as they use a variety of spices in their cooking. Try some of the local dishes including:
Brik – minced meat (usually lamb) and vegetables wrapped in a pastry and fried
Couscous – meat and vegetables cooked with a semolina grain - the national dish of TunisiaHarissa – a hot red pepper sauce served with lots of dishes
Tagine – a stew of meats, vegetables and fruits
