There are two airport terminals in San Jose del Cabo that service all of the Los Cabos area. They are right next to one another, but you must remember where your flight arrives so that you can make sure you make it back to the right terminal. There is a walkway that joins the two, but if it's hot, and you have a lot of luggage, it may be longer than it looks. Leaving the airport, taxi's are very expensive - the recommended option is the shuttle buses. You will find the authorized bus service located right inside the terminals. Be careful, there are a lot of people saying that they will give you free transport - they are the time share people! The fare is cheaper on the shuttle bus, and very convenient - they will group you with others that are going into the same area. For a trip to a San Jose hotel, the fare is around $12 US. There is a bank machine inside the terminal if you'd rather pay pesos. But either way, the shuttle is the best bet. You can take a taxi back to the airport as you will have a choice in town - many people prefer to reserve ahead, and make sure that you agree on a price before you get in, so there won't be any suprises. Many of the taxi's are big vans that can accomodate many passengers.
