There are so many beautiful seaside spots in the DR.

If you have the opportunity to stay at the Sunscape Casa del Mar AI-Resort, their Seaside Grill has one of the most gorgeous views  in the Caribbean. They have an extensive menu that changes from lunch to dinner. Lunch serves typical fare. Their self-serve nachos go down so nicely with some ice cold Presidente beer. You can also help yourself to soup, salad, fruit, and desssert.

Supper converts to a Western-style Grillhouse, a definate southern style menu with Grilled Meat Platters, Buffalo Wings, Chicken Fingers, etc.

Another great spot is La Parada, which translates to the Bus Stop, on the Malécon in Santo Domingo.  It is so cute inside with the chairs molded after those at a bus stop. Lunch of fried chicken and plantains really hits the spot. From here, you get a great view of the water across the street, and are within walking distance to the Zona Colonial, and all it's sights and sounds.
