“really good ciao”

Relais Parco Fiorito

Just returned from Italy and three splendid & memorable nights at Relais Parco Fiorito. Roberto Russo and staff are the perfect hosts. The setting, accommodations and ambiance couldn't have been better. The dinners and breakfasts were most watering and expertly prepared and presented. The atmosphere is warm and very welcoming. This is a fabulous base for touring Tuscany and Umbria. Can't wait to return.

“My choice for 2008”

Relais Parco Fiorito

I want to give a special acknowledgement to Parco Fiorito. A lovely, 16th century convent, now converted into an Organic Luxury Holiday Farm. Located on the Tuscan/Umbrian border, 3 miles from the hillside town of Cortona, Parco Fiorito, is an easy drive to many nearby cities. Assisi, Perugia, Siena, all within 30-60 minutes. The location is superb, although, a car is needed.
With the train only 15 minutes away, a day trip to Florence is an easy possibility.

I am a guide specializing in small, private travel in Tuscany.
My groups stay here 5 times a year for 6 nights. It is here where we engage in olive oil tasting's, wine tasting's, olive and grape harvesting in season, and cooking lessons. All the while, surrounded by the "real" Italy. Not the tourist version. If you want to taste and feel the real Italy, Parco Fiorito is the place for you. Surrounded by farm animals, (sheep, chickens and pigs), exotic bird sightings, and the always waiting, always wagging Labrador Aris, you are able to truly relax and enjoy the Tuscan lifestyle. Two beautiful pools, one with the Tuscan hills from every vantage point, and broad lounging areas, accompanied by the very warm Tuscan sun. The pool is the perfect temperature to cool off and refresh with a glass of wine and to relax after your morning sightseeing adventure. Dinner is set and served beautifully, every night, and the food is delicious.

What is the most fabulous about Parco Fiorito, is the complete freedom you are given to enjoy yourself. Roberto welcomes you into the Hotel as if you are coming home. All of my past clients, still ask me about Parco Fiorito, Roberto, and about his staff, with great fondness. It is here, with this new attitude, that you learn how to relax, and not worry about anything!

The rooms in Parco Fiorito are large, beautifully appointed, and clean. With 12" stone walls, it is comfortable in the summer heat, and warm in the winter. Fabulous views are found from all of the windows. Hand-painted landscapes, birds, vines, and fruits, grace the walls in just the perfect spots of the suites, and rooms. If you crave reality, Plasma TV's are available in the rooms, but who cares about TV in such a wonderland.

From a seasoned traveler, and a respected travel guide, I recommend Parco Fiorito for the year 2008!

“quite disappointing”

Relais Parco Fiorito

Be warned: This property is not in Perugia, nor is it even close to Perugia, being over an hour away. It is over half an hour away from Lake Trasimeno. It is about twenty minutes from lovely Cortona. If you like driving in Italy, then come here with an accurate map and prepared to do a lot of it.

The grounds and amenities are lovely. However, you will be eyeing them in sleepless fog. The walls are paper thin and your next door neighbors will be able to hear your every word. The rooster is every bit as annoying as the previous commenter’s have noted, and he wakes well before dawn. He should be relocated or featured in one of Roberto’s meals.

The shower is always scalding and the pool is freezing, making both a scary proposition. The wireless and TV took twenty minutes to connect on each and every attempt. They charge for air conditioning. The other amenities are nice, but be sure to ask the prices of everything upfront.

Roberto should not be a chef. The one meal we shared with him was overpriced and downright inedible: pesto should not be the consistency of chewing gum. The meat -- I’m guessing it was pork -- was indecipherable and overcooked. You will be much happier in the local pizzeria for a fraction of the price.

While the staff is very attentive, Roberto himself was not the best host. He failed to make some reservations we requested and we were quite disappointed. He is temperamental and you should not challenge him. If you want an agrotourism vacation, you can do so at about one-fifth the price with further research.

Everything an anonimous can write is not to be answered. The profile of traveler give many reason to ignore it. He is critic in 4 of 5 destinations! There are people never satisfird of any service and we, in Parco Fiorito, are satisfied of our good availability to give our best services with a big passion.
In our website and in trip advisor description of Relais Parco Fiorito is very well described that we are 28 Miles NW of Perugia and only 6 km away from Cortona. This anonimous traveler write that Cortona is 20 minutes awy, walking may be! And he writes that Parco Fiorito is over half an hour away from Lake Trasimeno.
The walls are not paper thin because the building is 16th Century convent and The rooster is naturally located in an Agrotourism, and he wakes well before dawn.
We have wireless everywhere and it's very hard to believe that it took twenty minutes to connect on each and every attempt. We charge for air conditioning not for rooms and Suites but only for the traveler asking lower weekly rates forself-catering apartment.
This person received a bad impression uf us but what he wrote is not true. We are really disappointed for that! We know other guests like to stay at Relais Parco Fiorito and appreciate our cooking. A very important Editor in New York, Italian Culinary Institute, published my cookbook "Good Ciao". Thanks to all appreciate our hospitality.

“Beautiful Tuscan Villa!”

The room and facilities were beautiful. The view from our room was breathtaking. We enjoyed the facilities, walked through the vinyards, enjoyed the workout par course, took photos and savored the exquisite cuisine provided by our fabulous host, Roberto.
If you stay at this villa, make sure to have dinner ~ Roberto, our host extraordinaire, makes it a unique experience. He even shares his recipes via his Tuscan cookbook and cooking classes!
The resort is convenient to many Tuscan towns: Arrezo, Sienna & Cortona, which we found to be uncrowded, lovely and with fine shops & restaurants. We will return here!

“Do Not Go!”

Relais Parco Fiorito

Don’t go! The location is very nice, true, however the deluxe rooms are full of insects, dark and smell of mold; the bathroom of my friends’ apartment has been flooded for two days and they received no acknowledgment for the unpleasant situation. The micro gym costs €15 per hour: excessive! If you choose to go anyway, at least do not eat there: the food quality is not high, it is not typically tuscan food and again it costs too much compared to its quality and to what you can find all around. Forget about the wine they sell there: €16 for a low standard bottle!
On the whole the place is pretentious and expensive for what they offer.
