“Hamanasi is the best!”

Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort

My wife and I just returned from our first trip to Hamanasi and I can assure you it will not be our last. From the moment Pedro picked us up at the Dangriga airstrip we knew this trip was going to be great. He was very friendly and informative as we made our way to the resort. The resort is immaculate and the gardens are beautiful. We stayed in a treehouse suite and the room was spotless and beautifully decorated. The resort is all inclusive so you never have to leave for meals, drinks, tours, or gift shopping which made everything very convenient. They have their own dock and a fleet of boats as well as a fleet of passenger vans so you leave on your tours directly from the resort. They also have sea kayaks and bicycles that you can use anytime for free. If you choose to stay at the resort there is a very relaxing pool area or you can take a long walk on the beach. The food and drinks were fantastic and always served with a smile, which brings me to our favorite part of the trip-the staff. From my first phone conversation with Vici, the wonderful greeting from Jan & Lionel, to the last hour spent with Keith, Joe, & King, these people are what make this place so special. Every member of the staff is friendly, accommodating and very professional. By the end of the trip we felt like old friends and not just a couple tourists. They truly are the crown jewel of this resort. I will end by saying we miss you all and we cannot wait to see you again. Until then... Hugs and kisses to all of you. Greg & Dede

“A Flood of Praise”

Can you imagine sharing your vacation with a tropical storm and flood, and planning on returning? My husband, two teenage boys and I arrived in Belize with Tropical Storm Alma. The first 3 days saw few planned land or sea adventures due to the weather. The unplanned adventure was the 1st ever flood of Hopkins and the resort. While some nearby resorts told their guest they were on their own, the Hamanasi staff took care of us beautifully. Due to safety issues, the water and electricity had to be turned off. So they evacuated us for 24 hours to nearby condos that still had power. While there, they delivered 3 delicious meals a day ...with beer...and smiles.
The weather then cleared and they went out of their way to make sure we made up for lost planned adventures. We dove the Barrier Reef, Glover's Atoll, and the amazing Blue Hole. They even arranged a special trip to Xunatunich for my family on the last day on the way to the airport. Thanks Jan!!!!
The priority for safey was always apparent throughout the flood and the dives. The food was excellent. And the attitudes were amazing.
The guests at the resort were great adventure seekers and we formed many beautiful new friendships. Despite the storm, we all are hoping to reunite again at Hamanasi..and maybe swim with whalesharks!

“The Greatest Place I've Never Been”

Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort

I got married in May and booked a honeymoon for my new wife and I at Hamanasi for the first week in June. Well, a tropical storm kept our honeymoon dreams from becoming a reality, but my experience with the resort could not have been better. The storm hit the Hopkins area very hard and in some places there was 12 feet of standing water. Hamanasi fared pretty well, but access to the resort was cut off for several days. They sent someone to meet us at the Belize City airport and arranged a room for us in town. Despite all that was going on with the flooding and despite a mostly disabled communications network, the Hamanasi staff were able to work out an arrangement with another resort further north. By the time my wife and I, along with another couple, got to the other resort everything had been worked out. Hamanasi arranged for us to get the same package and handled all the financial stuff, so we were able to enjoy our honeymoon worry free. I didn't actually speak to anyone from Hamanasi until four days into our trip, and only then because they wanted to make sure we were happy and having a good time. If the level of customer service I received is any indication, Hamanasi is indeed a wonderful place to vacation. Thanks for making our honeymoon worry-free under what could easily have been very stressful circumstances!

“SImply Perfect”

Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort

We started the first 5 days of our honeymoon at Hamanasi and were completely blown away. The resort is in a great isolated location, the food is incredible, and the people were the best part of the whole resort. The staff was incredibley friendly in a very genuine, not forced way. They new your names and went the extra mile to make our stay perfect. The guests were great too! We met many other honeymooners, young and old couples and just about everyone was a diver. We both got certified there, so you don't have to be a diver but it helps to get to know everyone if you go out on the dive boats during the day. The crowd was mainly couples of all ages and everyone hung out for happy hour at the pool, we made so many great friends. I would probably detour families with children, as it's just not a good atmosphere (for the kids and other guests).

“Wonderful Time”

My husband and I, along with our twenty year-old daughter, traveled to Belize for her spring break. We found the Hamanasi Resort on the internet, and didn't know what to expect . What a magnificent all-inclusive resort!! From the minute we landed in Danghria and were met by the Hamanasi staff we were made to feel welcome. Everyone, and I mean every one of the staff we came into contact with, was personable and made us feel special and comfortable with our surroundings. We stayed in a tree house, which was lovely -- spacious, very clean, and fun to hear the birds outside our windows. The food was great! Never once did we feel like we needed to look for somewhere else to eat. We went on three adventures and each one was well organized and exciting, expecially the Mayan Cave, which was a new adventure for the resort -- Indescribable!! The resort"s location on the beach is beautiful, especially the way the pool area looks out over the ocean. Our trip to Hamanasi was one of our best family vacations!!!!
