Stayed one night while on a short visit, and found this to be a warm and welcoming place on a winter night in Buffalo.
This is a large all-suites hotel. Our suite, which was in the back corner of the hotel, was enormous (bigger than some apartments I've lived in!) and very comfortable, with a large sitting room (sofa, armchair, TV, table & chairs), a kitchen (fridge, microwave, dishwasher), and a separate bedroom with a door that can be closed (good if you're sharing the room with someone). Decor is neutral--not luxurious, but pleasant enough. Lots of closet space.
The hotel's "great room," where the complimentary breakfast is served, is impressive--far beyond the cafeteria-like breakfast rooms standard at many hotels. The vast space has a library-like seating area at one end with a fireplace, TV, and sofas; at the other end of the room is what looks like an upscale kitchen from a TV home-decorating show, where the food is laid out. Tables are spread out across the space between. The space was peaceful and relaxing, in contrast to the chaos that prevails in many hotel breakfast rooms.
Breakfast is generously provisioned. Hot entrees the day we were there included cheese omelettes, sausage patties, and corned beef hash, along with make-your-own waffles and a range of pastries (good muffins), cereals, and fruit.
Freebie lovers take note: in the evenings, there is a free "manager's reception" held in the room, which is essentially a light dinner. The night we were there, it was Salisbury steak and potatoes au gratin, and a menu for other nights showed choices like sloppy joes and fish sandwiches. So you essentially get two meals a day here--making it a really good place for an out-of-town visitor who may not have the time or inclination to explore offsite dining options.
Location is right near the airport, which is both an advantage and the hotel's biggest drawback. Downtown Buffalo lodging options seem pretty poor, so most of the most comfortable hotels are along this same stretch. There's no problem with driving into downtown Buffalo: the hotel is just off Rt. 33, which shoots you right into downtown, and even at 7:30 am (rush hour, I was told) it only took us about 20 minutes--as little as 10 minutes at other times. And there is plenty of parking. But proximity to the airport does mean that landing aircraft pass directly overhead (we could watch them from our window), and the sound is loud enough to rattle the windowpanes. Fortunately the Buffalo airport is not O'Hare--the sound isn't constant--but planes do land until after 11 p.m. and start up again by 6 a.m. So don't plan to sleep in! Most of the decent hotels in Buffalo seem to be near the airport, so the noise may just be a fact of life.
One other thing I would say is that the place is not cheap (nearly as much as I paid for a recent Manhattan hotel stay!)--probably affordable if you are sharing, but a lot more than I would really like to be paying for Buffalo accommodation. But you do get what you pay for: this is a warm, comfortable, and welcoming place.
