“Not a bad hotel”

Adam's Mark Buffalo

4 of 5 stars
syracuse/alexandria bay/daytona
Jun 21, 2008

I stayed at the Adams Mark for 3 days while in Buffalo.
The motel wasn't bad either inside or out and would
rate it on par with any other priced hotel in the downtown
area.
My rate thru Expedia was $69 a nite and is darned cheap
for the quality of this hotel.
Room was average and clean and the bathroom seemed
to be just retiled. Free internet service was a plus not to
mention a 9.95 a day wireless internet is available.........
Parking was REALLY cheap for a downtown hotel at
$7 a day for self park or $15 a day for valet..........
The resturants were ok and the breakfast buffet was ample
for a mere $11 bucks. The Players sports lounge had both
a afternoon and late nite happy hour with reasonable
prices....................
Sure this motel is not smack in the middle of the action but
a $5 buck or less cab ride would get you anywhere you want
to go for food or entertainment. Or if your brave and packin'
your 45 you could walk or take the FREE trolley rail system
anywhere in town !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never had a chance to use the indoor pool or gym but they
both looked clean and inviting !
Not a bad deal for the money as I have stayed in many of
the so called "nicer" as well as pricier hotels in town.

“Much better than expected, comfy stay”

We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful lobby area, people at check in desk were courteous and prompt. The bell man was very helpful, we found that the keys did not work once we reached our room on the 9th floor- the bell man and other hotel staff on the floor were very apologetic and quickly fixed the problem. Room service staff was prompt and our rooms were clean every morning. Bed was large and comfy- we arrived after flying from halfway across the world, it helped to have a nice long sleep. Place was quiet- no disturbances.
On the flipside, the shower was kind of weird- kept changing the water temp of its own , but we took a leisurely bath and weren't too bothered by this. Also found some spots on the carpet which kind of grossed me out, but we were too tired to care I guess!
Room had coffee, but no minibar/ fridge which made it slightly difficult for us to store babyfood and milk.
We were very happy with the restaurant food which was good and very reasonably priced. The deco restaurant was very good- we had a 12 dollar breakfast buffet that took us though the day! We also had lunch one day- nice sandwich and soup for about 10 dollars. The clam chowder was excellent.
Overall hotel provided what we expected - more value for money for us since we booked through priceline. Not too much to do around the hotel , you need to take a cab to go dine out. Cabs are available right outside or the front desk is happy to call one for you. But was very close to the hsbc center , which is where we needed to be. Place is also walking distance to the greyhound bus station - if you need to get to Toronto you can catch a bus from here.

“Great place to stay!”

My husband and I spent one night at this hotel. We booked the room through Pricline and to be honest we were not sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel.
Check in was quick and easy and staff were pleasant and helpful. The lobby was big and beautiful and valet parking was available. Bell boys were also available. There were four elevators and you never waited long for one.
We were given a room with a king size bed and the room also had a desk with internet connection available. The king bed was outfitted with a beautiful white duvet and 6 pillows. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The room was clean and did not lack for anything.
There were a couple of places to eat and the hotel also had a pool and a gym although we did not use these facilities during our stay. Parking was seven dollars for 24 hours but was covered parking and entrance to the hotel was easily accessed from the parking garage.
We would definitely stay here again.

Good location (walking distance only in nice weather), easy to find, fast check-in, pleasant lobby. At first glance the room looked great. Big, plush beds (which were by far the best part of the room). Only 2 towels for 4 people, no hand towels or washcloths. Called front desk..."send some right up". Called twice...never came. Went to dinner at hotel restaurant DECO, on Saturday night. No hostess on duty, completely disorganized. Chairs were falling apart. Service was awful. However, FOOD WAS GREAT. Waiter gave us 10% off as he knew the service was bad. Back to room following evening out. Heat not working. Kept overheating and the air conditioner would kick on. That was fun! Sunday morning: “Housekeeping” knocking at 8:30am, when we were checking out anyway at noon. My fault for not putting the sign on, I guess. Answered the door and asked for towels. Response: “ummmmmmmm, I don’t have enough for my other rooms”. WHAT! I said, “I’ll call the manager”. Dailed 0, asked for Manager. Response: “well, ummmm, let me see….ahhh, I don’t think there is one on duty”. Again…WHAT! Ended up talking to Housekeeping Manager. Very nice and apologetic. Housekeeper came back….with towels. Pheeewwww. Room service for breakfast. Be there in a ½ hour…an hour and ½ later we had our mini-continental breakfast (bagels, toast, muffin, coffee, hot coca). BUT, no silverware, no napkins, no butter, no jelly. The room service phone gal was nice enough to bring it right up to the room. Very friendly and apologetic. Breakfast was tasty! :o)
Check-out. Mentioned the issues. Not the best response from front desk. Got car from parking lot….$7.00 fee per night. WHAT! Come on…this isn’t NYC. So, all and all…I guess I found out why it was the “cheapest” at $109.00/night. I would stay again…if I had no other options.

“Adams Mark Hotel Excellent Experience”

We stayed at the Adams Mark with my sons team. When we arrived we received nothing but excellent service from the moment we walked in the door. The staff was friendly not only to us, but to the boys.

The rooms were extremely clean and nicely decorated. The pool area was great for the kids. We also had excellent service in the sports bar and in the restaurant.

I would definitely recommend staying here, and would stay here again.
