I have rated place "excellent" because it is has an outstanding location, ,next to Buffalo nightlife, free parking, somewhat charming rooms (less generic than one might expect), and helpful and pleasant staff, all for a bit over $100. It even includes a decent continental breakfast. Typically, hotels in the area are actually closer to Niagara Falls, a nice place to visit during the day, but tedious at night.

Went to Buffalo for a girls shopping weekend and need a place that was safe for 2 females and close to everything.

Had an initial problem with the room as we had requested non-smoking but friendly staff kindly switched rooms for us. It's close to a lot of things and is definitely not in the scary part of town (which is what I was mostly concerned about.)

All in all, not bad.

I stayed for one night-Sunday nov 27th-
the hotel is very easy to get to the airport, which is why i chose this hotel for my 7am flight in the morning. The room was nice and comfortable. Around 1130pm I went to denny's and found the front desk girl sleeping on the couch in the front room. When i came back she told me not to tell anyone. I was worried so in addition to the First wake up call i requested at 530am , i made a second request for 545am In case she was sleepy thru my first request. To my utter shock and horror, I woke up at 7am. THE CALL NEVER CAME. I was extremly upset that i missed my non stop flight to tampa. When i questioned the Front desk they told me the girl was already gone from the night shift and that the alarm should have went off. There was 4 people in the room and no one heard it. So they either have faulty phones or bad employees. So if you have to catch a flight in the morning BEWARE. I called the manager when i got home and told her how i had to leapfrog across the eastern seaboard all day on diffrent flights (busy holiday weekend) and the manager was very nice about it and compensated me a nights stay. I thought that was nice.

In another city I'd give this a lower rating, but in Buffalo, in depression and disrepair, this is a really good bet.

I went to the Best Western after a nightmare night at the neighboring Lenox. It was so terrible that I practically ran to the Best Western.

It was everything you'd expect from a Best Western - average in most ways. But a very very nice staff. I really appreciated their pleasant and helpful attitudes.

The Best Western is located in the Allentown neighborhood, very close to the great Town Restaurant and Louie's Hot Dogs (which if you're a Buffalo native might be important!).

I've stayed here twice while visiting Buffalo and i'd likely do it again.
