We stayed at the Marriott Riverwalk for four nights. We were attending a convention at the Convention Center which is so convenient - literally across the street. Everyone at the front desk was very nice. We arrived fairly early - maybe 11:30 a.m. and were still able to get in our room. We did not know to ask for a room that overlooked the riverwalk. Be sure to do this unless you just don't like the noise and activity of the RW. Our first room was on a very high floor, but faced the highway and construction. We asked if we could move the following day and did so w/no problem. They even gave us a bigger room at no extra charge.

The regular rooms are quite small in my opinion for what we paid - $219 a night. Bathroom is incredibly small - you can hang it up if you have two people trying to get ready at the same time. (bigger room did not have bigger bathroom) Bed is very comfortable I agree. Great TV, drawers for your stuff, plenty of closet space.

There is only one set of elevators, but we did not find them slow. Everything at the hotel is very nice - typical Marriott, but nothing terribly exciting. Just good service and a great location - right at the Riverwalk, restaurants, shopping, the Alamo, etc.

This was our first visit to S.A. and I hope we can return. What a great city!

This hotel is very nice and quite affordable in looking at other Riverwalk hotels. Since I am a Marriott member, they upgraded my standard room to a room with a view and a balcony at no extra charge. This room was fabulous with a great view of the river and large balcony. The service here was excellent. Everyone was very attentive and did their best to make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to others looking for a beautiful property and large rooms. You can't go wrong with this hotel choice.

Stayed on a government conference, so don't know how much the rooms costs. The location is superior..walking distance to all of the Riverwalk attractions. The hotel itself is just ok...just like any other older Marriott property. The wait for the elevators was a major complaint of my colleagues, as early and late in the day there was a long wait and sometimes people actually got stuck in them.

We stayed on the 25th floor and the same week the Dallas Cowboys had their training week. (My stepdad had some meeting there.)
The athletes stayed there & my family and I got to meet a few trainers. :)
It had a very gorgeous view of the riverwalk. It was tad bit expensive though. But they have a pool half indoor/outdoor. The hot tub was very relaxing. & They have a neat workout gym.
The beds were OHSO comfy. I even napped in jeans.
We had a balcony & got the gorgeous view of the riverwalk. Its really neat at night. The location is great! The elevators are fast. Lobby smells good. Valet parking. Nice staff. Clean room. I cant complain, really. I'd say go for it.
