Excellent! Staff is cheerful, friendly and very helpful. Coffee at the Java Express features Starbuck's Coffee and I swear it tasted better than the actual Starbucks. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Food service was good. I paid about $90 per night (plus tax) and found it to be a GREAT value. The staff (K. Vargas) even recommended a local mexican restuarant, La Fogata, which was exceptional.

We also booked our stay through Priceline, and for the money it was an excellent value. Check in was easy and quick- we had a king room with a sofa bed. Room was clean and seemed to be renovated not too long ago. I had asked for a non-smoking room and when I got off the elevator, it was obvious that this floor had been a smoking floor at some point. I was concerned, but our room smelled just fine. We used the hot tub- it was too cold for the pool although a few brave teenagers tried it for a few minutes! The pool/outdoor seating area was nice. It would be a great place to sit and read a book and enjoy the sunshine. There was a nice exercise room, we didn't use it, but we could see it on our way to the pool. It seemed larger than most hotels of this size.

The hotel staff was very nice the few times I needed something. There was a business center with two computers, each connected to a printer, and I was able to look up an address very quickly and print out directions. That was a very helpful feature.

The entrance to the hotel was a little confusing the first time. Once we figured it out (circled around and tried again!) we were fine. Parking was outdoors, but the parking lot seemed to be well lit and we didn't have any problems.

I would gladly stay here again. We often books rooms through Priceline, so we have stayed at most all the 3* hotels in the airport area, but this was definately one of the nicest.

I booked this Hotel through Priceline and got a really good price. Less than half the going rate for 3 Stars near the Airport in San Antonio. Some of the Tripadvisor reviews were less than flattering, so I had some reservations. However, it turned out to be one of my more pleasant hotel stays in recent years. I've stayed at the 4 Seasons Maui and the Bellagio, so I know a good hotel when I experience one. This hotel is very conveniently located near the Airport and North Star Mall right on Loop 410. I had considered the River Walk hotels, but when I walked through the Hyatt lobby downtown, I could see a pile of suitcases the size of a small mountain near the entrace. The noise level and convention business on the Riverwalk can be a bit much. The Holiday Inn Select rooms have been recently renovated and are immaculate. The bathroom was squeaky clean. The beds are comfortable and the hallways were very quiet at night. Another Trip Advisor review mentioned car break ins, but I noticed a hotel employee driving around the parking lot at regular intervals at night. I parked there 4 nights with zero problems. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful just like the San Antonio locals you meet while you're in town. You get the feeling they like their hotel and their jobs. There is a very nice coffee cafe in the lobby that serves Starbucks and pastries. There is a business lounge with internet access as well as a nice workout room. We were able to get our boarding passes for Southwestern Airlines in the business lounge with no problems. In summary, this hotel is an EXCELLENT value for the money. Clean, modern appearance with a very nice staff. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Overall the Hotel was celan and well maintained. The staff was cordial, and attentive to our needs. I was part of a 20+ person class that stayed there for 10 weeks, and during that stay we had 6 vehicle break-ins and 2 more stolen cars from the hotel parking lot. Each time an incident occured the mangers acted as iff this was th first time occured and said they had more than adequate security with camera and parking lot security agents. Just a poor example of management and taking care of the customer.
