I had never stayed at a Comfort Suites before this one and I would definately stay again. The Comfort Suites near Sea World in San Antonio, TX was pretty clean (though there was a soured smell in the bathroom, but the floors and everything were clean) and the staff was friendly. There was alwasy someone at the desk when I need extra towels, etc.

We stayed in a king suite with whirlpool tub and I was a little disappointed when we arrived. It seems that the whirlpool takes places of the fold out sofa in the living area of the room. I only have one child, so I made a nice pallet on the floor and she was just fine with that (the floors were very clean). The whirlpool was nice especially after a long day at Sea World.

Our room was right across from the indoor pool and hot tub (which made my daughter quite happy) and we were never bothered by the noise. The indoor pool area is only open from 10am-10pm and since we didn't get back to the hotel until late every night, we only used it the first night.

I was fine with the breakfast, nice selection and they seemed to replenish everything as needed.

The area around the hotel is a business area, and I would have liked to stay closer to Sea World, but it was only about a 10 minute drive. My only complaint with the area is all of the road construction. We left to get dinner the first night less tha 1 mile away from the hotel and ended up taking nearly an hour to get back to the hotel (yes, that's right, it wouldn't have taken so long but many of the underpasses were blocked with construction-it was frustrating so just keep in mind if planning to stay there soon).

I got a great rate on the room by using the discount from my insurance company and ended up paying a little over $100 per night. Otherwise, I probably would have chosen a much less expensive hotel.

Stayed 2 nights (Mon & Tues) in a King room for 2. $107/night which was decent for San Antonio, but we weren't near the Riverwalk. We were on the side facing AWAY from the freeway (410), and we were a couple buildings back from the main road so ti think that could have helped with noise. Even though there were lots of kids in the hotel, we didn't hear them.
Requested a top/3rd floor room which we got. The King bed was very comfortable. Everything was nice & clean. The room had fridge & microwave in the 'living' area along with chair, loveseat (fold-out) and desk & chair and a TV. The bedroom was a bit small with the king bed in it, but still okay. It has TV also. The curtains did a good job keeping out the light in the morning. The bathroom was in between the rooms and had 2 sinks (nice!) The new toilet makes a BIG whoosh when flushed and I would not have wanted to be in a room below, but not really sure how loud it would be.
Breakfast was waffles, scrambled eggs with sausage, biscuits and gravy, donuts, muffins, toast, cereal, oatmeal and I think boiled eggs. Plenty of room to sit while we were there.
The pool is indoors but was not very warm, but it was pretty big. We stayed in the 'hot' tub which was actually just warm. That would be my only complaint about this hotel. Plenty of places to eat nearby too.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Sea World and Six Flags, this property was one of the closer ones to Sea World, although it was a few miles away. The property was next to the highway and a tad hard to locate, but thats probably the screwy Texas roads more than anything else!

Upon arrival we were placed in our Whirlpool "suite" (don't let the name fool you, Comfort never has or had suites anywhere across the US). The ROOM was fine, the small divider should never count as a suite, but they did have nice glass doors on this one to seperate the whrilpool from the bedroom, a nice attempt. All Comfort "Suites" are done this way to my knowledge, so dont go expecting seperate rooms.

Our stay was great, no complaints aside from the occasional loud children near the pool area. Price was a tad high, but I'd consider it worth it as long as you're getting the whrilpool for a few bucks more. As always, make sure you get your AAA discount!

Over the years I have found that hotels that start with the name Comfort to be hit and miss. This hotel is a hit. It is a very nice property and I found the employees to be very nice also. I stayed with three others and we had four rooms. We found all the rooms to be just fine with plenty of room and a good wireless internet connection. There was a refrigerator and microwave in each room and breakfast in the morning. It was a good value compared to the Hyatts and Radissons down the street. The Red Roof Inn next door looked new although I did not check it out. The four of us did have drinks at the mexican food place next door and I would not recommend wasting time or money on it. If possible when checking in request a room not facing the street. The hotel touts being near Seaworld.....well it is about five miles but it is a very easy drive and takes no time at all.
