My family and I chose to stay at this Hampton due to its proximity to the River Walk but I now wish that we had gone elsewhere. Based on the previous reviews the same issues continue to plague this property:
- Dingy, shabby room decor with mold in the bathtub grout
- A/C was beyond loud and continually turned itself off for about 10 seconds and then came roaring back on, no matter how low you set it
- The pool had leaves and trash floating in it so I actually took the skimmer net from the pool house and swept it out myself before my kids got into it. You could tell from the milky color of the water that the chemicals were not right either
- Breakfast was a joke. Not nearly enough seating and when a table opened up there was no one there to clean it. Specific items ran out with slow response in replenishing it.
- As a Diamond member I usually find water and a snack in the room when arriving but nothing was there. Told EJ at the front desk and he said he'd have housekeeping take care of it. When it still didn't happen I informed the front desk supervisor upon check out and her response was that she'd talk to housekeeping as well. Wow, thanks for taking care of the issue . . . not
If I hadn't used Hilton points for this stay I probably would have asked for my money back since this is not typical Hampton standards. I've stayed in other Hampton properties for $89 a night that blew this one away. If you choose to stay here consider yourself warned . . .
