We stayed at Emily Morgan on June 14 for 1 night. The hotel is right across the street from the Alamo, its entrance faces the Alamo's back door, maybe 10 meters away. Also an easy walk to the Riverwalk.
The hotel is located at a triangular area on the street and has a very tall tower which reminds me of a cathedral. The exterior is very impressive and easy to identify.
I like the decor of this hotel. It feels urban, yet earthy and cozy. Front desk staff was friendly. Parking was $25, valet or self-service.
Our room was great. Again, I like this kind of interior. Bed was very fluffy. I imagine it must be what sleeping in the cloud would be like.
At the first glance, everything looks very fine. Bathroom was very nicely renovated, however, with minimum signs of an old building. For example, the tiles around bath tub and the heating unit knob were not renovated. And they stood out among the harmonic new decoration.
At night, it was a little noisy at first before I fall sleep, siren etc...
We had stayed at a hotel on the Riverwalk before, location wise, I would pick that location over this.
But overall, this is a nice hotel.
