“Wonderful Welcome to Maui”

Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

My husband and I spent the first couple of nights of our honeymoon there and we really enjoyed it.

We had an ocean view room and it was FANTASTIC. the best part of the stay! we were RIGHT on the ocean, and loved listening to the waves at night (because we left the doors open.) Just wonderful!

The serenity pool is beautiful. great view. very peaceful.

It is easy to rent a car here - Hertz is right on site at the hotel and you pick up the car at the parking lot. incredibly convenient. and the Shops at Wailea are right next door.

If you need help with activities - the concierge desk is VERY helpful. gave us lots of good advice and hooked us up with tours that matched just what we wanted to do.

Make sure you see the Luau - the food is just ok, but the show is delightful and fun.

“Relaxing....Perfect.”

Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

My wife and I just returned from our stay at the Wailea Marriott...and it was probably the best vacation we have ever had. We used our Marriott points to stay for 7 nights. Upon our arrival, we were warmfully greeted by the front desk staff who upgraded our room to an ocean view for free. We had a gorgeous view of the Infinity pool and the ocean. Overall, I would have to give the hotel, staff, and area a 10 out of 10. The food was great, the staff was very helpful, and we happened to be there when the film festival was in town...which just added to the excitement of being there. We spent most of our time at the Infinity pool (18 and over)...we rented a bungalow for the day, and just laid in the sun drinking Mai Tai's...it truly was relaxing....perfect.

“Saved our trip!”

Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

4 of 5 stars
San Diego, CA

Pros: Very nice hotel for decent price (priceline) as compared to other luxury hotels in the area; fantastic restaurant with healthy foods; clean and new rooms; beautiful views and gorgeous lobby; nice pools, liked the three different pools with different ambience.

Cons: Front dest staff was not quite unfriendly, but certainly terse. Made you feel like you were disturbing their work. Mixed up our room reservations, so our room service charges were billed to our friend's credit card, and vice versa. No beach front (but easy 3-minute walk to the beach), the front is rocky shoreline.

Summary: This hotel saved our trip. We had booked a high-dollar condo via VRBO and ended up with a terribly dirty place with HUGE cockroaches, broken washer/dryer, and moldy A/C.

“Beautiful Resort in Most Beautiful Part of Maui”

Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

5 of 5 stars

My wife and I spent 7 days and 6 nights here in mid May, using our Marriott Rewards points to pay. In my opinion, Wailea is the most beautiful part of the island. Very green, beautiful homes and hotels, golf courses and gorgeous beaches!!
The resort itself is located right next to The shops at Wailea (which has shops, restaurants, and a great General Store where my wife and I would walk to each morning for coffee and muffins!!). The lobby is open to the elements and very elegant yet tropical(the grounds in front of the lobby are beautiful and lit by tiki torch each night).
Our room was looking directly down on the new infiniti edge pool and the beautiful Pacific beyond. The room itself was very comfy and tropical. Dark woods, white tile and soft linens on the bed. The bathroom had a big, deep tub and a frosted glass door. There was a nice size lanai with a table and chairs for enjoying the view.
There was so much to do on the island (snorkeling at Molikini Crater, Lahaina, hiking the volcano, the road to Hana, Iao Valley, a sunset luau, etc...) that we didn't spend much time at the hotel, but we really enjoyed laying out by the pool and enjoying the beautifal views out over the ocean and other islands. There are several restaurants, bars and pools on the property, and you can easily walk to several great beaches, as well as the Grand Wailea and other hotels along the beach.
The Marriott is a beautiful, open air, polynesian style hotel with great ammenities and in a lush, tropical setting. Taxes, resort & parking fees were a bit high, but my wife and I would definitely stay here again or reccomend it to our friends!!

“Very Nice Place”

Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

5 of 5 stars
Grand Rapids, MI

We recently returned from a family vacation at the Wailea Marriott. This was our first time to the Wailea area of Maui. The resort was nicely landscaped and the facilities were clean. We had no problems with check-in or check-out. All the staff we encountered were very polite to us.

We had a terrace view room on the 6th floor. From it you could see the neighboring condo complex as well as the ocean and beach. The view was actually nicer than the view my parents had and they paid for an ocean view. There is a small refrigerator in the room which comes in handy for storing your own drinks or leftovers. The bed was very comfortable for my wife and me. The decor was clean and simple, not the usual tacky wallpaper and ugly floral print that you find in many other hotels. There is a small safe in the closet.

There is an adult pool, a kids pool and a pool for anyone. The three pools are located in different parts of the complex. We stayed at the anybody pool. It was not crowded at all (everyone else was probably trying to find a chair at the adult pool). There was no competition for lounge chairs. This is where the bar and eating place is.

We ate once, breakfast, at the hotel's restaurant Mala. Nothing special and very pricy - $26 but the food was good. Everything to eat and drink at the hotel, as in anywhere in a popular resort destination is going to be overpriced.

My wife and I love to walk and we love to shop. There is a nice shopping center up the driveway from the hotel, about a 5 minute walk that has a couple of restaurants: Longhis and Cheeseburger in Paradise. There is also a general store where you can get deli sandwhiches and other food such as eggrolls, potato salad, etc.

The beach is a short walk from the hotel grounds but for us this wasn't a huge deal. The neighboring hotels: Grand Wailea, Four Seasons, and Fairmont Kea Lani have their own beaches in front of the hotel grounds. All of the hotels were connected by a nice walking/jogging pathway.

Overall a very nice stay. Would we go back there again? Yes.
