“It was just OK...”

The rooms were nice and clean but I had a few problems such as checkin time being 3 pm, when we got in there at 11:30am they made us wait for a room. The lady was rude who checked us in. There is a self parking fee of $15 a night to park on the 9th floor of a rooftop, when every floor of the parking garage was empty. The MARTA station was about 2 blocks from the hotel which wasn't bad. When we went to check in they had to upgrade us a room because they had no availability but the hotel looked completely empty. The room they gave us had a good view and was very clean but the lock on the door was broken and the drain in the shower was broken. The water kept rising up and after every shower we had to drain the bathtub. No wonder that was the only room available. On top of that my husband is a firefighter and we were on vacation, so we thought, but the hotel is right next to a firehouse so ALL night long we heard the sirens going off and we were on the 10th floor so I could only imagine if you are on the 2nd or 3rd floor. They have a restuarant there so we went there for breakfast and it was completely empty again. They charged $14 a person for all you can eat breakfast which I found very expensive and while eating I found the hotel staff picking up food for themselves and walking out. Overall I will definitely not be back to this hotel.

“Perfectly Average”

I stayed at the Wyndham Midtown for a week while in Atlanta on business in July 2007. Main reasons I booked here were the close proximity to the office where I was working, and everywhere else was booked up.

This place needs a major overhaul. While the room and property itself were clean enough, it looked like it was suffering from big-time deferred maintenance. The whole place smelled musty, the furnishings (including the TV) were at least 10 years out of date, and the mattress was hard and uncomfortable. Service was average, at best.

If I absolutely had to stay here again, I wouldn't necessarily mind it. But it would not be my first choice.

“a nice trip there!”

We have just returned from a week at the Ritz Carlton. The hotel is magnificent and we have never experienced such incredible service before. It was so lovely that it was hard to drag ourselves away from the hotel to go to the theme parks at all. In fact we didn't bother with Disney , having been before and just did a few trips to Universal. It was so hot and busy there, we couldn't wait to get back to the peace and tranquility of the hotel.
We stayed on the club level with its own concierge and club lounge where 5 different food presentations are laid out each day. We were just expecting a few nibbles but breakfast is a lovely continental spread with cheeses fruit pastries etc. During the afternoon it's literally like tea at the Ritz in London with champagne etc. Quite difficult to fit in any meals out after all that!

“Better than Expected”

The hotel was better than expected based on the reviews I read on TripAdvisor. The room was rather large, the staff pleasant. With free membership in the frequent guest program you are entitled to free internet and long distance calling...not bad!

Room was large, clean and bathroom was clean, if a bit dated in decor. Nice toiletries, too.

“Front Desk Staff Needs Some Work”

Hotel Midtown

2 of 5 stars
Atlanta, Georgia

We chose to stay here the night of a major concert event. The location was terrific, walking distance from Piedmont Park. Unfortunately, the staff was not prepared for the influx of people who were checking in during the hours prior to the concert. We ended up waiting until WELL after standard check in time to get a room key. The front desk staff was extremely disorganized and their frustration showed. When we checked out the next morning, our rate was discounted which was nice. Other than that, the hotel is fine, but you’re definitely paying for location with this one. The Bath and Body Works toiletries are a nice touch.
