I looked on Hotel.com to reveive the hotels near the Braves statium. There was a great picture of the Super 8 hotel on the way into the city. There were not bad reviews so I called the hotel directly and booked two rooms. The picture had to be made when it was new. It was terrible. The outside was peeling and the grounds were not kept. It was in a terrible neighborhood. The lobby was not air conditioned and had wires hanging down from the room behind it. The complete first floor was gutted and all the furniture had been piled behind it. We had to go through it to get to the rear entrance to get to the stairs to go to our rooms. The bath tub would not drain and there were spider webs on the walls. This has to be the worst experience we had ever had for a hotel room.

The approach to the hotel is lined with strip clubs and prostitutes on the corners. The outside of the building is in disrepair. The whole building had an odor of chemicals that were trying to mask other odors. Wireless internet that was advertised was only accessible at one end of the building. The refrigerator smelled so bad you wouldn't want to eat anything from it. The tv had no remote. The knobs on the clock radio were broken so you couldn't set the alarm but it didn't matter because you couldn't tune it anyway. When the AC went on during the night it was so loud that we thought a freight train was coming through.

The man at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We moved to another hotel for the second night of our weekend stay.

We drove up and saw the strip clubs first and our first reaction was not positive. Then you drive down into a hole and it was very dark and then we saw the prostitutes and not only did we see them when we parked we were approached by one. We instantly got back in the car and went to another hotel. I did call the hotel and was told the manager was not there so i couldn't cancel but when I called super 8's main number I filed a complaint and instantly called my credit card company to put a stop payment on it so they wouldnt pay.I called the next morning and was told I would not be charged. I wouldnt recommend this place for anyone.I am hard to scare but this place is creepy in every possible imaginable way!!!!

We have just returned from our weekend trip to Atlanta, Georgia and felt that we needed to put this tidbit online for other families. When we walked in the appearance of the hotel room was not bad, but once we got settled there were tiny bugs that kept appearing everywhere, and the a/c unit leaked so the carpet near it was wet. We also did not have a smoke detector because it was in the drawer constantly beeping! Outside of the hotel, you have your choice of at least three ADULT clubs (aka strip clubs), and there was at least one female each night hanging out on the street corner. Just wanted to let families know what to expect because we didn't!
