I stayed at this property for a week during a business conference. Overall, this property is a pretty standard hotel, designed for the business traveler.

The rooms are nice and big and have everything you could need, including a bar area and separate couch seating area with a desk.

During my visit, I had the chance to go in some of the recently renovated rooms on the lower floors. They have new carpet, new furniture, flat screen televisions and a more modern look.

I ate at the restaurant once for dinner and found it to be good and reasonably priced. The buffet style breakfast is overpriced like many hotels but there is plenty to offer.

I'd definately stay at this hotel again if I needed to. Once they get all of the rooms done, there won't be a bad room in the place!

We booked through Hotwire and paid $50/night for a suite - 2 separate rooms and large bathroom. Room was OK - needed a little updating but still very nice and extremely nice for the $ spent! The only problem is the parking garage that is the only parking at the hotel. They have had a lot of car break-ins b/c it is next to the Galleria Mall and the garage can be accessed thru the top roof and exited below so it makes it easy for thiefs. My husband went to get our car at 4:30 am for our drive home and saw 2 very suspicious men climb out of one parked car and jump into a waiting van then drive off. He got the tag # and reported to front desk who said there have been problems. Just beware and do not leave ANYTHING in your car. We were lucky.

We stayed here the evening of November 25, 2006 on a short trip to Atlanta. Although we had good luck last month using Hyatt Regency Suites, the opportunity to build up "Starwood points" won out.
The hotel was nice, and the layout of the room was great. I loved the large flat screen tvs in both the living and bed rooms. Parking in the nearby garage was quick and easy. The staff was very friendly and all requests were met without problem. The room was not in the best condition. Lampshades and furniture were very dusty. The sliding wood door between the bedroom and living area was off the track and practically inoperable. The remote control to the living room tv did not work. There was a horrible overpowering paint (?) smell in the room and outside corridor. The sofa seat cushion was "sprung" and sunken down into the frame. It needed to be replaced.
Not a bad hotel...but just not a great one either. Given the large choice of hotels in the area, I'll probably look elsewhere next time.

Stayed here 2 nights while at a meeting nearby. The hotel is OK, but the staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to go the extra mile.

The rooms have the "suite layout" which is nice but they really need some renovation. We stayed at the "Club Floor" and even there the carpets were stained. The bathroom wallpaper was ripping and the door surroundings show rust signs. The bed was not really comfortable, but the sheets were soft and fresh. We ordered room service one night and it was OK and fast.

The hotel has a shuttle that can take you around (3 miles) to the mall or other restaurants because there is really nothing great nearby. The mall will have new restaurants opening by the end of November, this will bring better options.

The shuttle can take you to the bus stop in front of the mall (take #10 to the Arts Center Train Station, and then the train Northbound and you’ll be downtown (Lenox Square) for $1.25, I think the Southbound on the same station will take you to the Airport. A taxi from the hotel to the airport costs $55.

I will not recommend this hotel if you have many things to do downtown, because a cab ride is $40 each way, unless you use the train.

If you have something to do around this area, this will probably be OK
