“For the price, fine”

Handy location, that is not right in the centre of Atlanta. Next to the train station that makes it easy to get into the centre or the airport.

Accomodation is a bit tired, and could do with some redecoration, but was generally clean.

Continental breakfast included, so all-in-all good value for the price

“OK”

Hotel staff was incredible. I have never had such good service at a hotel that was much more expensive than this. The parking was ok, but tight when you have a truck or an suv. Amenities were ok such as microwaves and fridges in each suite.

The drawbacks were the rooms themselves. They looked in need of repair, and several different rooms had water running continuously, through loose toilets or shower fixtures. There were tears in the carpet and a handful of areas on the ceiling that needed attention.

Overall, I would keep this a business trip hotel. It is OK if you need a convenient location and secure parking. The staff is awesome, and if I go to Atlanta for business again, I will definitely stay there.

“Do not stay here, awful and dingy, pay $10 for parking in the basement!”

Where do I start? 1) First you have to pay $10.00 to keep your car in the musty poorly lit basement in the same location you have already paid to stay in. This is undisclosed when you pay for the room. If you have a car Ford Expedition size or larger FORGET IT you cannot drive down there. Too tight.2)The hotel is OFF PEACHTREE NOT ON PEACHTREE by about 2 blocks next to a seedy bus station and a stripper club down the road. On the OTHER SIDE of the city I might add.3) The rooms are terribly maintained I had several problems..... a) I fell off the toilet when it broke away from the wall (and no I am not that heavy!) b) The light bulbs in the bathroom were blown so I had to shower in the dark. c) The roof tiles in the shower were missing, leaving a nice cold breeze to flow in and freeze ones todger. d) The dimmer in the main room was smashed to bits on the floor, so the main light was either on or off. e) Computer access is restricted to 10 mins in full view in the main lobby with a line of people standing behind you also enjoying the funny email that Uncle Bob sent you. f) The faucet in the bathroom would not shut off, so "drip drip drip" went on all night long g) (temporary) a 24hr construction site sits outside the front lobby, throwing noise and dust. Mar 15 2004 h) Towels and linen look like they have been washed in the local river. This hotel sucks, the staff sucks. If it wasnt for Orbitz I would not have gotten my money back ($100 per night) . DO NOT STAY HERE, check out a 2 star over this place.

The Regency Suites Hotel takes great pride in both it's products and it's services. I do not feel that this posting accurately reflects either of these for our property. While many cities do not charge for parking in hotels most larger cities including Atlanta do. We specifically list this charge in all of our hotel advertising and on all web sites in which a guest could book a room and the parking garage is similar to any other parking garage in the city. I apologize to this guest that they were misinformed that our property was on Peachtree Street. We are aware that the information is listed incorrectly in both mapquest and google. Unfortunately, this is not information that we provided to either search engine and are working diligently to get this information corrected. The hotel is located adjacent to MARTA- Atlanta's rapid rail system allowing our guests easy and quick access to all locations within Atlanta including the Airport and Braves games. Atlanta's rapid rail system is one of the best in the nation and would not be classified as a "seedy bus station" as this guest indicates. As an independant boutique hotel we like to offer our guests the feel of a boutique hotel rather than a cookie cutter chain. As such we supply our rooms with linens which are taupe colored. I am sorry that this guest percieved our different color choice as linens having been washed in a river. We are happy to offer our guests high speed internet access on our lobby computer time is only restricted as a courtesy to other guests if necessary. I have researched the guests allegations regarding the condition of the room and can assure you that our rooms are properly maintained and that your stay at the Regency Suites will be a pleasant and comfortable one.

“You Want to Avoid This One”

I've always heard that when offering a critique you give the best first. The Regenct Suites Hotel had a very good staff - very friendly and very helpful. We had plenty of hot water, no matter what time of day or night. The complimentary breakfast was continental, but very good. There was no evidence of the complimentary dinner Monday through Thursday, as advertised. The worst - the suite would have been an appropriate size for 2 adults, but not 4, which is what we asked for. There was no blanket for the sleep sofa and housekeeping was gone for the day when we realized it was missing. The sleep sofa for two of the adults did not have all the connections on the mattress support, so the lower corner sank down below the frame. After the first night, the couple opted to sleep on the floor. The third day the maid took the sheets, so they had no sheets to cover the comforter from our bed that they were using as a pallet. The toilet was not secured to the floor, so when you sat on it, the toilet rocked forward. Parking is $10.00 per night for hotel guests, but each night when we returned from dinner the garage was full, so we were told to park in an open lot across the street. Economically, this was a better deal at $3.00 per night, but the first night as we were getting out of the car a police car pulled over to warn us that there were often break-ins, especially since we had an out-of-state license. This might be an okay hotel for business travelers, but not for family vacations.
