We had a reservation for three nights in December. We were driving
for 10 hours and around 8:00 pm we called the hotel line that was specifically for help with "directions to the hotel". The woman at the front desk gave us totally wrong directions. While driving around to find the hotel I called again to double check on the directions. The same lady reassured that the directions were right. Thirty minutes later I called again and the lady admitted that she gave wrong directions. When inquired further on how come she could be so careless she yelled at me and hung up on me. I called again and again but there was no reply. Third time she picked up the phone. I told her that we are still driving around to find the hotel, she said we should have looked at map quest before we left home. When I asked for a manager she said that there is no manager there and hung up on me again. Appalled by her rudeness we decided to stay in another hotel hotel by the side of the highway. Next morning I talked with a manager who apologized and sent me a coupon for one night free stay at any red roof inns.

This is my first appalling encounter with a hotel staff!

Great basic hotel. Everyone at desk very nice and helpful. Price is great. Grounds very pretty and rooms clean. Would stay again.

I just returned from a trip to Atlanta. Looking for a hotel around the Buckhead area with an affordable rate is quite difficult. Luckily, I found the Red Roof Inn on N. Druid Hills. I read the reviews here, and decided to try it. What a pleasant surprise!!! This small hotel is perfectly located on Druid Hills, within 10 minutes of Lenox Square and Buckhead. Also, the hotel is right off Buford Highway and I-85, both offering quick access into town. I went to a concert in midtown, and made it into town and parked within 20 minutes!
The room was clean and basic. The beds and bedding were comfortable. No complaints! The room has no frills - it is basic. No iron (though I think it is available at the front desk). And no free internet. All said, I was not in the room that much, but it was quite comfortable when I was.
I will definitely be staying here on my next Atlanta trip!
