I was told by the website- hotels.com rep and the hotel rep that my room would fit 6 people. Two rooms with king size beds, and a pull out sofa. Upon further contact with the hotel rep we found out the condo only had 2 rooms and a pull out sofa was not a guarantee. Which at this point I am told I can get a cot for $10 more per day, in addition to the $15/day parking- in which the spaces are so small you have to have someone guide you in and out of certain spaces or wait until the person beside you has left to try and get out.
I arrive at the hotel to find only one room with a king sized bed, the other room has a full size bed. The power outlets in the smaller room don't work and there is no closet. The dishwasher had dirty dishes in it and the wireless internet was not working. I complain to the staff and we look at 3 other rooms to see which would accomodate us the best. We take our luggage to the room we decide on, I go downstairs to get the keys. At this point I am told we can not get this room due to someone else reserving it. So we take all our luggage back to the other hallway to one of the rooms that doesn't even have a king sized bed, but 3 queen sized beds. The only good thing about the hotel was the location and the free breakfast...

Specifically chose this hotel for its location, and boy was I glad I did!
The Best Western Granada Suites is located catty-corner across the street from the Midtown Marta (subway) station -- so terribly convenient. We used Marta to get to all of our destinations and found it to be quick, clean and easy to use.
The hotel was nice. Different than most of the hotels in which I've stayed. Didn't have that big place feel, but was warm and sort of cozy. A bit dog-eared, but well maintained. The staff went above and beyond (take advantage of the maps they'll give you at the front desk -- they're better than what I found anywhere else) with our daily tourist-type questions.
We had a jacuzzi room which was quite spacious and included a microwave, fridge and bar-type area. The room was extremely clean and well stocked. The bed was soggy -- not my type of mattress -- but there were plenty of pillows. My only concern was the lock on the door -- the door, even when locked, seemed a bit loose. Our view was nothing special (a neighboring building and the alley below).
The complimentary Continental each morning was great. The hours and supplies were generous, as was the menu (waffles, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, grits, eggs, sausage/bacon, juice, coffee...). Table space was plenty and clean.
On the subject of food, the front desk provided a great list of restaurants and delivery options. There's a small cafe on the next block over -- yikes, I can't remember the name, but it's right across the street from the Marta station -- that had absolutely fabulous food with a nice Southern flair. So good that we meant to make it over there a second time and just never did.
All in all, our stay at the Granada was favorable. Checkout was a breeze, even though they had a lobby full of people (a family reunion had descended upon the place).
Don't stay here if you want luxury, but do stay here if you want a clean, affordable place to rest that's close to easy transportation.

“Great for the price and our situation”

My family (along with my teenaged son's girlfriend) made a three day, two night trip to Atlanta to see the major tourist attractions. This hotel was great for the price and the two seperate bedrooms and pull out couch were perfect for our sleeping arrangements. My son's girlfriend had a private bedroom and we didn't have to pay for two rooms. The location is good, the shuttle service is a wonderful perk, and a MARTA station is directly across the street. Atlantic Station is within walking distance with great shops and dining. Atlantic Station also offers a free shuttle every 15 minutes to the MARTA station across from the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and was a true breakfast, not "continental". The staff was extremely helpful and answered all our questions patiently. The elevator was out of order the last night and day of our trip which was inconvenient when we checked out of our third floor suite with our luggage. I would stay in this hotel again.

“Nothing special”

Best Western Granada Suite Hotel-Midtown

Pleasant, friendly staff in an older hotel. The room was spacious and more like a suite than your standard hotel room (which typically has the bathroom located immediately at the entry to the room); instead, the room was L-shaped and the bathroom was farthest from the door. The bed was a bit lumpy and the floor uneven and soft. Did not get to try the breakfast because it is not served until 7:30 a.m. on weekends (6:30 a.m. on weekdays), meaning that those leaving on early flights miss out. Mine was a quick overnight stay and decent enough, but I probably wouldn't stay there again. (Also, the hotel is in Midtown, not Downtown - Hotwire and Trip Advisor have the incorrect name).

“Best bet for college groups for events at GA Tech or near MARTA”

Best Western Granada Suite Hotel-Midtown

Granada Suites is the best choice for college groups visiting Georgia Tech or other venues, Ga State, AU Center, etc., near MARTA. I have brought teams to RoboCup at Ga Tech for the past 3 years and have tried all three of the Midtown hotels meeting our requirements. These are that the hotel have rooms accommodating multiple people, has a separate living area where students can prepare for the next day’s competition, and is relatively inexpensive. All three of the hotels: Regency Suites Midtown, Residence Inn Historical Midtown, and Granada Suite Hotel meet these requirements. All are clean, have good service, provide a reasonable breakfast, and offer free internet. Parking is difficult and/or expensive at all three hotels but is marginally easier at the Residence Inn. For those unfamiliar with Atlanta, MARTA, the rapid transit system, runs directly from the airport to within a block of each of these hotels. The Regency Suites and Residence Inn are very near the Midtown station. Granada Suites is directly across from the Arts Center station, the next stop north. Unless you need personal transportation (to carry robots for example) public transit is much more convenient and cheaper for these locations. The Residence Inn and Regency Suites are marginally nearer Ga Tech but in a relatively busy/noisy stretch of West Peachtree. The Residence Inn, for example, is next to a well advertised shop selling marital aids and novelties. Granada Suites only a few blocks north is in a quiet, sedate area just across from the High Museum and Arts center. The two bedroom apartments (price comparable to the other hotels) at Granada Suites were ideal for our purposes. They cover two floors with a large common room with kitchen and ample table space for 2-3 people to work on the first and two bedrooms and baths on the second. Wireless internet was flawless on both floors and clearly superior to coverage in the other hotels. The breakfast was also more varied and included special touches such as Seattle’s Best coffee. As a significantly older property that began life as apartments, the public areas of Granada Suites are less plush than those of the other properties but the rooms are impeccably maintained. On our arrival, the apartment we had requested had been damaged and was unavailable. The manager found two suites across the hall from each other to accommodate our group. We could not have asked for more courteous, considerate, or helpful service.
