Intown advertises low weekly rates, but there are hidden costs and it isn't pleasant. No soap is provided & bath towels are thin and the size of most hotel's hand towels. There are no coat hangers or iron, the kitchen is poorly lighted, rental of cooking equipment is extra, beds have only a thin sheet and cover (no blanket); my room was drafty and cold & the heater very noisy. Internet is free if you put $80 deposit on a modem. Wireless did not work, nor did the elevator. The company confronts the visitor with a host of rules and legal documents which the managers enforce like prison wardens: keep blinds closed, don't "loiter" in front of your door, don't back into parking spaces, to name only a few. There was never a smile or friendly inquiry in two weeks. The rules regarding checkout and weekly renewal are designed to separate guests from their deposits. I went to the office for what I thought was a renewal well within the 24 hr rule. The same clerk two days later fined me $45 for late check out and $45 for late renewal (think about it). The security guard threatened to fine me even more if I didn't leave the property immediately. The company complaint line is fully automated, meaning that it is impossible to contact a live, responsible person to report a complaint or resolve a dispute. Stay away from this place!!
