This is an OK hotel. Online travel agencies rate it as a
FOUR STAR. Its not. It is a 3 STAR at best. One annoying thing
that you will find in this hotel (as well as most 3 star or less
hotels) is that every time any room door is closed you can hear
it very loud & clear. It doen not help your sleep any.

Attended a large wedding at the Westin Buckhead at the end of June, and recieved a VERY discounted rate which I definately appreciated. Check-in was smooth and the concierges remained one of the highlights of the hotel. The room itself- meh. I kept bumping my hip against the desk they had sticking out. The outlets in the desk of course didn't work- I ended up finding one plug in the bathroom and another behind one bed. And the heavenly bed certainly was not heavenly- it was much too soft for my taste actually. But the two shower heads were lovely and we just ended up using the floor as our bathroom counter since their was no counter space. All in all, it was definately worth what I paid for it but there is no way I would pay more than that!

Room service from "The Palm" was the worst room service we have ever had. Bar none--- ( and we usually like the Palm)
Felt as if we were nickel and dimed to death. If a hotel charges for WiFi add it to the room charge, don't charge $10+ per day for
( substandard) service.
Bed and showerhead were very cool and the only part of hotel worth talking about. For $350+ per night the room was very small. Not even close for the $. Stay somewhere else

We stay here every time we visit Atlanta. Every stay is quite nice. The location is great, as it is very close to shopping and restaurants (much of it within walking-distance). The lobby and other main areas are attractive and comfortable. The service is good; and it is nice to have The Palm on site.

We ordered room service (1 dinner, 2 breakfasts). One dinner dish was great; and the other was decent. The breakfast on Saturday morning was outstanding- -highly recommend the steel-cut oatmeal. The breakfast on Sunday was almost as good--not quite. Rooms are comfortable, well-appointed, and pretty. We got a corner room that had very nice views of the Buckhead area, as well as a distant view of downtown. HDTV too!

The property is showing its age where renovations and redecoration have not yet taken place (or were not completed fully). I think they are slowly updating the hotel from its former 1980s-contemporary style a la Swisshotel. The salmon-colored stone in the bathrooms is looking tired, and the glass enclosure on our shower leaked a little. Not a huge problem.

Overall, I would recommend the Westin Buckhead.
