We were traveling to Tampa Florida from North Carolina for Thanksgiving and went out of our way to stay at the Marriott to go to the Atlanta Aquarium. The overall appearance of the hotel is very nice and the front desk help was super. Our double beds were very cramped and the A/C was so loud it woke me up everytime it came on. I am a pretty sound sleeper if this gives you any idea. DON"T walk around at night. We had no less than 10 homeless folks asking us for money. All those things were tolerable. WHAT WAS NOT TOLERABLE is the valet scraped our new dodge charger on the ramp into the parking garage and the manager assured us they would take care of the damage. This car was dent and scratch free. We are the people who park in the back of a parking lot just so people won't park next to us. The damage is about $500 to $700 but Marriott and their contract with AAA Parking has declined our claim 3 times and told us on the phone that they deny all claims of this nature. So I have no idea what claims they actually pay. When we contacted Marriott corporation they just referred us back to AAA Parking and the Atlanta Downtown Manager. So if you don't want to risk your car being damaged I suggest you not book a room at this hotel. We WERE loyal Marriott reward customers and use Marriott hotel exclusively for our yearly Spring break Williamsburg trips. Marriott, if you are reading this I will revise or post new reviews when the situation is rectified. I can't believe you would rather risk losing a loyal customer over $500 when we can spend that much money in one stay with you. In addition to this, my son left his jacket in the room after we checked out. I called that day and told them exactly where it was and housekeeper already cleaned the room. When I called I was told that lost and found was closed (6pm) and someone would call me back. No one called back and I called three addition times and no jacket was located. You can put two and two together.

Stayed here one night on business trip. Check-in/check-out easy and professional. Was able to request late check-out. Business center computer with internet and printer to print out boarding passes. Room facing Spring Street with some traffic noise at night, but still slept fairly well. The beds are so comfortable. A couple blocks walk from metro station if you want to take it to/from airport.

We stayed at this property for the Atlanta Classic football game. The location could not have been better! We were able to walk 2 blocks up to Peachtree to watch the parade and we were an easy 15 min. walk to the Georgia Dome. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. Please note that there is no self-parking at this property; it is all valet, which is ~$20/day. Our room was a jr. suite and was HUGE! The bathroom had 2 entrances, one from the bedroom area and another from the living area. We didn't try the on site restaurant since there are so many options close by (within a couple of blocks). I have to recommend Pittypat's Porch (for southern cuisine), which is almost directly across the street. There was only one negative to our trip. The property has some construction going on and it did get loud during the daytime hours, but a quick call to the front desk seemed to solve the problem.
We would definitely stay here again!

This was a very nice hotel. We were in town to meet some freinds to go to the Georgia Aquarium and have dinner. Easy walk to any part of downtown.

The staff was extremely courtious and very helpful. A friend booked the room for use and got us double beds. Well, the beds were much smaller than we could sleep in comfortably. We asked to be moved to a king room. No problem at all. Bellhop was more than polite and had a great personality.

We were on the 8th floor and Spring Street side so it was a bit noisy. A lot going on in downtown. The A/C unit was also very noisy. The room was clean and the service was very good. Did have to pay $18 per day for valet parking even though we did not drive during our stay. Internet access is $9.95 for use until noon the next day. So little expenses do add up.

Overall though, the stay was very nice. I would stay in downtown Atlanta again, but may stay somewhere else.
