Nice hotel. The concierge staff was helpful and lively as were the shuttle drivers to the airport. It was a good hotel in a pinch and is very self-contained with a starbucks and krispy-kreme booth, a bistro, a full fancy restaurant, a nicely decked out sports bar with pool tables, air hockey, games, and large flat panel TVs everywhere, a barber shop, a nice gym, a small indoor and large outdoor pools, and a jacuzzi. This is all good because there isn't anything else in the immediate area except a few blocks down are a McD's, TGIF's, and a local joint; but more is supposed to open soon. The hotel services and restaurants are expensive, but the starbucks/donut booth is regular prices. The rooms were typical hotel rooms, average size, clean, no fridge...just a small one w/ only room for mini-bar items you have to ask for the key in order to retrieve...no biggie for us. Overall nice place if the price doesn't bother you.

We wanted to stay a little bit outside of downtown Atlanta so we booked at the Hilton by the airport (via Hotwire) and do not regret it one bit. The beds were super comfy, staff was super friendly, we received a parking pass so did not have to worry about paying for parking. Also, if you don't feel like leaving the hotel (or your room for that matter) they have decent options for dining and a Starbucks inside the hotel. It's still a pretty short drive to downtown or any other attractions you might want to see so you're not really that far from anything. Also, this hotel caters mostly to business/airport travellers so on the weekends the rates are usually better and the place was rather quiet which was nice. Overall, a really enjoyable stay.

We stayed at the Hilton Atlanta Airport from October 4 to 8th this year...There is a shuttle that runs from the Airport to the hotel every 15 - 20 minutes -this was great! And as there is a MARTA (the Atlanta Metro) station at the airport, we used the shuttle as a "bus" to get to and from the MARTA - used MARTA for all sightseeing in Atlanta.

The hotel is nice and clean. the rooms are spacious and well-maintained. Our first room was 935 - great views of the incoming / taking off planes at the airport (which my hubby likes to watch). Unfortunately, it was right next to the elevator - so we heard everyone and everything that was going on...The hotel was sold out while we were there, but the front desk did manage to move us late in the evening on the second day of our stay, after we expressed our concerns about the noise at the elevator area). We went to the 13th floor, with the same view, but further from the elevators. The beds in the room were incredibly comfortable and the pillows were borderline decadent.

The concierge and front-desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

The Finish Line Sports Bar was a lot of fun. The food served there was good and reasonably priced. The service seemd to be "hit or miss" though - but in all fairness it was incredibly busy all weekend (NASCAR had about 400 of us staying in the hotel for the Talladega race)...

The restos on the main floor - we only ate in the open air one - it was fine for breakfast (bit pricey for a buffet though - $15.00 plus coffee)....We did a mexican supper buffet there as well. It was good - not amazing, but there wasn't anything to complain about either. Service in this resto was good at breakfast and mediocre at night.

The pool is outdoor and was very cool. But it was also 9:30 pm when we went out to it and it was October....

All in all, we had a good stay and would recommed this hotel to others.

My wife and I took a brief overnight trip to Atlanta to celebrate our "Halfiversary" and had a great time at the Hilton. On the weekends, you can get a great rate because the majority of their customers are in Atlanta on business and stay with them during the week. The staff was very accomodating and everyone at the hotel was very courteous.

I reserved us a corner suite with a bottle of champagne. They ended up delivering the champagne and a plate of chocolate covered strawberries, which was a nice touch. The room was very large and had windows down two sides that offered great views of the airport.

We ordered room service and we were both pleased with the delivery time and the food itself.

Mostly, we "stayed in" and had a wonderful time. I'd recommend it to any couple looking for a brief romantic getaway!
