This hotel had just opened when we visited, and in my opinion they opened prematurely. The property is nice, however there were quite a few issues that we encountered from the minute we arrived. They only had one elevator operable, and it was almost always filled with workmen that were finishing details on the hotel. So, we often had to hike up to the 7th floor where our room was located, or wait for 10 minutes for a ride up. The fitness center that was advertised, did not exist - and it was a major debacle asking the hotel to assist with finding a facility to use nearby. The internet was not working, so it was impossible to get any work done during our stay. And forget about getting a cab - we called a half hour ahead to ask for assistance with a taxi, and it took an additional 20 minutes after the time we had specified. The hotel rooms were also without hot water from time to time over our 3 night stay. There were lots of blank stares from the staff when we approached them with the issues we encountered. (I am cutting them come slack wth this review because they are newly open. )The entire experience was a mess...and to be honest we would have checked out immediately after we checked in, but we were there for a wedding and didn't want to offend the bride and groom. As a frequent traveler, I would highly recommend the Pan Pacific or any other high end hotel in the area for business or leasure over the Arctic Club. Go have a drink at the bar if you want to check out the place - the bartenders were the highlight of the experience for our group.
