When I booked the hotel, the agent was very nice and helpful. I thought the rooms with jacuzzis were outrageously expensive, but if you can, I'd recommend splurging for a balcony room. One of the best nights we had was eating crawfish, drinking beer and people watching on our balcony. It is awesome to be this close to Bourbon St, but bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper...as soon as the bars close, then the restaurant vendors start shouting to entice people in for breakfast. For a hotel this nice, I thought there would be a little more soundproofing within the rooms; we could hear our neighbors a little bit, and I'm sure they could hear us ;)
The staff was wonderful; I told them we we on our honeymoon & they sent up a nice complimentary bottle of champagne. The conceirge was especially helpful. And the beds...you won't want to get out of them! Pillows were sooo soft! Overall, wonderful stay & a great time in New Orleans!
