My husband and I just spent 3 wonderful nights in NOLA at the Bienville House on Decatuer Street. The hotel itself was very elegant. Location of the hotel was perfect, close to Cafe Du Monde and Jackson Sq. Close enough but away from the noise of Bourbon Street. Great for shopping, dining, and meandering the city. Also nearby to the River and riverside shopping, canal street shops. Harrahs Casino a few blocks away too. Also easy location to catch streetcar. The room we had was a standard with king bed, bedding was high quality and down pillows were included. For a standard room, it was huge! I would suggest the courtyard side of the hotel though, as there can be some noise from Decatuer Street, although we slept fine (compliments of good wine and/or a few drinks on Bourbon St!). Only downside was no fridge in room, but there was a 4 cup coffee maker. The bathroom was nice and very clean. Great amenties- very "boutique", bathrobes, high quality soap, shampoo, cond, & lotion. There was a light continental breakfast, bagels, fruit, muffins, juice and coffee. The courtyard was quaint, with a lovely pool, perfect to cool off after a hot day in New Orleans!
