The hotel property is very nice and has a great pool. It is decorated in a southwestern motif. There are small balconies and we had a room overlooking the courtyard and pool.
We shared a room for one night with my husband's parents. They do only have double beds instead of queens if you get two beds in your room. Our bed leaned to one side very heavily, so I had to hang on to the edge of the bed to keep from rolling over onto my husband. My husband actually slept part of the night in a chair since the bed was so uncomfortable. The toilet's don't flush well and ours clogged up twice while we were there. They brought a plunger up to our room both times right away. The rooms are large, so I can't understand why they don't have two queen beds in the rooms. You would think a Marriott property would have better amenities. My husband worked out in the fitness center and said the temperature was so hot it felt like a sauna. They had very nice equipment though. No complimentary breakfast, but they do have a restaurant with a buffet on site. We went to Denny's but it was packed since it was Labor Day so we drove up the hill to McDonalds. We ate the night before at the Fiesta Mexicana restaurant. It was very busy and good. The salsa is quite hot so we asked for a mild and mixed them together. It was perfect then. My husband and his father had the shrimp nachos and I had a shredded beef taco salad. Both were very good. I was told the chicken burritos are very good as well. The prices are fairly reasonable, especially for a touristy town. There are not many restaurants to choose from in Page. We will try Strombolli's Italian Restaurant next time. It was packed when we drove by, so it must be pretty good. After checking out, we drove over to the visitor's center at the dam and took some pictures of the lake and dam. It was definitely worth a visit. I would stay at the Marriott as long as we have a king bed.
