We were perfectly happy during our four-night stay at The Park Slope Bed and Breakfast, 604 5th Street, Brooklyn, which opened in 2004. The B&B rooms and bathrooms are very clean, housed in a pretty brownstone built in the late 1800s. The current owners have refinished much of the building with modern touches (skylights in the bathrooms) but maintained the old charm by restoring wood moldings, and floors, for example. The host provides a nourishing SELF-SERVE breakfast, that included yogurts, cereals, juices, breads, coffee and tea and bottled water. We liked getting up and making our own! A sauna is also available for visitor use, as is a meditation room. We liked being close to several restaurants and Prospect Park, home to the Brooklyn Museum and the botanical garden. We would definiately return. [--]
