We stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Express on Union St in Brooklyn and greatly enjoyed the stay.
The check in was courteous and quick. I made a request when booking to be on as high a floor as possible and was given a room on the top floor when I checked in.
The room was smallish (smaller than the Hotel Le Bleu) but not uncomfortable. The location was great for where we were going, Brooklyn Academy of Music, and when we asked the best way to get there we were given quick and accurate walking and subway instructions. The clerk also offered the number of a reliable car service. We chose to walk and it was fine (though I was with my husband and would not have made the walk home alone).
We got the last parking spot in the lot that night, as you cant reserve them this was a lucky break for us.
The room was clean, the bathroom was nicely decorated and included a venting fan. The tv had a good selection of channels and good reception.
I dont have anything bad to say about the place. If you go expecting a stay at a well kept Holiday Inn Express you will be satisfied. The staff was all very nice and good at what they were doing, I would commend the managers on that.
