A very nice place to stay, in a beautiful house in a nice and quiet neighbourhood, a place you feel at home right away! Susan and her husband Chalo are very friendly and hospitable, and help you with every question you have.
Although their B&B is located in Brooklyn, you reach the centre of Manhatten in less then 20 min by subway, wich is around the corner of their house, so no problem at all!
Whenever we go back to N.Y. we will stay at Dekoven Court!

The Dekoven Suites was an absolute pleasure. Susan & Chalo are very friendly and fun to visit with. They make everyone feel welcome.

We rented both rooms and both were very comfortable. I would recommend the Dekoven Suites over any Manhatten hotel. When you consider price and comfort, the Dekoven Suites is a great find. It is located at the end of a quite street. The beds are very comfortable. Susan prepares an awesome continental breakfast featuring her homade croissants. As for transportation, the subway is a 5 minute walk away and you can be in Manhatten in 25 minutes. This is a good choice for families or groups of 2-6.

I can't say enough about how much fun we had. We've already planned a return visit.

I rate Dekoven Suites as excellent for anyone who wishes to stay in Brooklyn, or who is visiting on vacation. My trip could not have been made more pleasant by innkeepers Susan and Chalo, who are dear friends to any weary traveler who wanders to their door. I made the mistake of taking the subway with my heavy bags (next time I will take a car service), and had difficulty finding Dekoven Suites when I arrived in Brooklyn. By the time I arrived at the Inn, I had a nasty scowl on my face. Chalo greeted me warmly, asked what I would like, made me feel right at home within seconds! If you don't mind a shared bathroom (I didn't have to share, as I was the solo guest during my visit) the accomodations cannot be beat. Fresh figs and a warm bagel was my breakfast every morning, and the house is warm and cozy. I highly recommend it with the caveat that for business travelers who work in Manhattan, Brooklyn might not be the best location for your stay. The trains are often backed up and sometimes stop for long delays. It is a good thirty minute ride into Grand Central.
