We stayed here for three nights. It is an older hotel, but the rooms have been recently renovated, so they are clean and in good shape. Be aware, it is an outside-hallway hotel. It is near by an endless blight of strip malls, which is handy if you need to shop. The scenic, historic parts of town are further east.
Rooms were simple but more than acceptable for this price point. Everything was clean. Wireless internet is free. There is a decent pool, outside. The free breakfast in the morning was actually quite good.
We had two fairly large problems, though. We failed to receive our wake-up call one morning, which could have been disasterous. Then, on our last night, on a day when it was 96 degrees, our A/C shut off from about 1am to 7am, for no apparent reason. We told the manager about both of these things, at different times. They were very understanding, and we ended up only paying for about half our stay. Service was generally very good, and their response to those incidents was prompt and courteous.
FYI, we knew others staying there the same nights, and their A/C worked fine, so don't think this was a planned thing. Just a mechanical issue. Given the lack of other nice hotels in the area, I'd say this is a good choice for the money.
