This is one of the nicest motels in Gettysburg, and my husband and I have been coming to Gettysburg since 1975, often several times a year. I honestly cannot comprehend any negative reviews.
The motel is attractive, very neat, very clean, immaculately kept grounds, and well managed. It has won several Days Inn Chairman's Awards. ( I think I counted about 14 of them in their trophy case in the lobby.) The staff were all courteous, efficient and friendly. The rooms are neat and clean. Blue is the predominant color.
We had a room with 2 queen size beds. The sink is outside of the bathroom, in the room- a feature which we always appreciate as it helps us to get ready faster. The room is spacious as you can see by the photos, and includes a chair, desk, dresser, and night stand between the two beds. The view out of the window is either a northern or southern view.
The pool can be entered from the motel only- we did not take time to use it, and in fact, given the lack of chairs, it may not be open yet - a pool is not one of our priorities, but it does appear well kept.
The motel is right next door to Perkins Restaurant, but we took advantage of the Deluxe Continental Breakfast. That was the only *slight* disappointment. It included waffles which you make yourself (That of course was not a disappointment.) It also served 4 different kinds of juices, 4 different kinds of dry cereal, coffee, muffins and bagels and apples. We would have liked to have seen yogurt, hard boiled eggs, danishes and bananas, which seem to be standard fare at many of the deluxe continental breakfasts. The breakfast area seemed well managed however- tables being cleaned regularly after guests departed, good supply of what they did have, etc.
There are a total of 5 floors in all and we were on the 4th floor, a non smoking floor, The 5th floor is a smoking floor and I am not sure of the others.
All in all a good experience.
