“Top choice in this area, a definite must stay!!”

Days Inn Gettysburg

5 of 5 stars
Boston, Massachusetts
Jul 13, 2008

Visiting this area, you have tons of hotel choices, but not many compare to this cheap priced spot right on the main strip close to all attractions! The rooms and entire place are spotless and very large and will accomodate your entire family! It sits a few miles from the main visitors center and battlefield and has not only a Perkins eating place in the parking lot, but a Dairy Queen in front as well within walking distance. You can go wrong with this hotel, since it is cheaper than any in the area, and the staff is friendly and helpfull and the continental breakfast is very good! Plus the rooms are very clean and contain double queen beds in most. I would highly recommend this place to any family trying to vacation in the area and they even have tour bus pickups from this spot! A must stay in this area of history!

This hotel was clean and the staff very friendly & helpful. The continental breakfast was a plus; it offered assorted muffins, donuts, cereal, yogurt, waffles, fruit, etc. I would definitely stay here again; great value for the money.

“Very Nice”

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is nothing fancy, but the service was friendly and prompt and the room was very clean and comfortable. There is a nice pool that my kids really enjoyed after a long day of sightseeing. The free internet access was helpful. Breakfast was real good. We loved the waffles! This hotel does it right!

“Great Motel Choice”

Days Inn Gettysburg

Jun 2, 2008

This is one of the nicest motels in Gettysburg, and my husband and I have been coming to Gettysburg since 1975, often several times a year. I honestly cannot comprehend any negative reviews.

The motel is attractive, very neat, very clean, immaculately kept grounds, and well managed. It has won several Days Inn Chairman's Awards. ( I think I counted about 14 of them in their trophy case in the lobby.) The staff were all courteous, efficient and friendly. The rooms are neat and clean. Blue is the predominant color.

We had a room with 2 queen size beds. The sink is outside of the bathroom, in the room- a feature which we always appreciate as it helps us to get ready faster. The room is spacious as you can see by the photos, and includes a chair, desk, dresser, and night stand between the two beds. The view out of the window is either a northern or southern view.

The pool can be entered from the motel only- we did not take time to use it, and in fact, given the lack of chairs, it may not be open yet - a pool is not one of our priorities, but it does appear well kept.

The motel is right next door to Perkins Restaurant, but we took advantage of the Deluxe Continental Breakfast. That was the only *slight* disappointment. It included waffles which you make yourself (That of course was not a disappointment.) It also served 4 different kinds of juices, 4 different kinds of dry cereal, coffee, muffins and bagels and apples. We would have liked to have seen yogurt, hard boiled eggs, danishes and bananas, which seem to be standard fare at many of the deluxe continental breakfasts. The breakfast area seemed well managed however- tables being cleaned regularly after guests departed, good supply of what they did have, etc.

There are a total of 5 floors in all and we were on the 4th floor, a non smoking floor, The 5th floor is a smoking floor and I am not sure of the others.

All in all a good experience.

“Clean, Convenient and Cheap”

This is a very nice Days Inn. I was traveling on business again and I arrived at around 8:00pm. I was hungry so it was nice to just walk next door to a Perkins Family Restaurant. There are other hotels around but i am happy I chose this Days Inn. It was the cheapest and I had no complaints at all.
