I found this place a little uncomfortable and slightly unnerving because it really felt like you were living in someone's home even though only the care taker lives on site. The room was cute but it was full of old books and odd bits & pieces that made me feel like I was sleeping in a grandmother's bedroom! The kitchen was well equipped with old time crockery and utencils for us to cook dinner and breakfast and they provided eggs, juice, bacon, bread etc.
The care taker leaves the doors unlocked during the day which didn't impress me much especially when our rooms didn't have locks either!
The B&B is a short walk from the train station but there isn't much of a footpath so we carted our luggage through a bit of mud. A good thing though is the place has a very small luggage elevator so we didn't have to drag our luggage up 3 flights of stairs.
The Chestnut hill area is very close and the train into the city takes 30 minutes. The owner was very nice but elderly so she did take her time with service.
