Being a big fan of John's in the Village I was excited to try the Times Square location. It is vastly different, but the quality of food is equally as good. Located in a restored tabernacle, the atmosphere is top notch. There is a small bar in the front to wait for your name to be called. They give you a number and then display it on a digital board, a smart idea for such a busy place.
We enjoyed a nice cold Brooklyn Lager on tap, but they had other nice choices besides 'Bud'. We were seated on the top floor with a nice view of the entire restaurant and the pizza was delish (as always).
This area being a very expensive locale to eat, I would put John's on your radar screen.
