I travel to NYC for work on a regular basis, and was a bit disappointed by Hotel 41. The first room I was shown to was a tiny box with a tiny window looking out to the air conditioning unit - dark as dark can be. I requested a room change, and was moved to the front where I had natural light and a view of the hotel sign. It was clean, serviceable, and tiny. The staff was pleasant without being particularly warm, but was always available. The food in the restaurant was very good. I found that the "desk" couldn't even accomodate my laptop - that was a bit frustrating. I ended up working on my bed which was not comfortable. As a place to stay for pleasure - it's clean, safe, fine. Would not recommend for work.

As others have said the rooms are small,but who in there right mind would stay in their room for their trip,when you have so much to see and do!

Anyway onto the room itself-It was on the third floor,not too near the elevator/lift and very quiet. For all the people that where complaining about the AC in the rooms,you could have just switched it off if it was that bad! The room was very clean,(Cleaned every morning,as with the bathroom) Though the carpet was a bit worn,the bathroom was also very clean,and I remember reading someone moaning about the shower water being cold....There is a temperature gage on the wall right next to the light switch.(Or you could have just let the hot tap on the sink run for a while)

All in all a great stay was had by both of us,and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who are planning to stay in New York.

Hubby and I stayed at Hotel 41 in Times Square from 12 may unto 16 May. What a wonderful experience. The room was quite small. The cleanliness was excellent...the room was serviced every day and the towels changed too. The breakfast was a nice extra and was delicious. The staff were friendy and helpful. I shall be recommending this hotel to all my friends

This was our first trip to NYC and we had heard horror stories from numerous friends about the lack of cleanliness and rudeness from their hotel stays. Well this was NOT the case at our hotel, HOTEL 41. We arrived on a Tuesday evening and after having our flight delayed then having to circle in the air for half and hour waiting to land we were exhausted. It was such a breath of fresh air once we stepped into the hotel. Our check-in process was extremely smooth and very quick!!! Our bellman even gave us 2 FREE tickets to see the Broadway show RENT that was playing next door!!! Also upon check-in we were given chilled bottles of water, which was very refreshing. Then on to our room, it was spotless and very nice!!!! We were pleasantly surprised! The rooms are small but comfortable. By the way, who comes to New York to sit around in a hotel room? Even though it was small, we never felt cramped. We loved the continental breakfast. It was such a great way to start the morning. Throughout our stay of 5 nights we asked for directions, recommendations on restaurants, taxi cabs and general information and everyone that we encountered was very helpful and friendly!!! As for the location, you couldn't ask for anything better! We were at the center of EVERYTHING!! We were literally steps away from Times Square, Broadway, shopping, numerous restaurants, and a subway station. We loved staying at Hotel 41 and highly recommend it. We can't wait to return!!!
