“Excellent. Especially w/ Priceline rate”

The people who complain about this place need to be staying at The Plaza or something.

It's clean. The rooms are large. It's central to the theatre district.

We had a relatively low floor but still enjoyed a view of the new Westin (with the funky light) and the river.

I paid $110 on Priceline. I guess if I paid $250 or something, I'd be underwhelmed.

I would definitely come again, even at a somewhat higher price.

“Perfect for what I needed”

I brought my fifteen year old daughter and two friends to New York for an overnight stay. This hotel worked very well in terms of the location and amenities. There is a parking lot right across the street from the hotel on 41st Street, so self parking is an easy option in addition to the valet. The staff were all courteous and efficient from the doormen to front desk and security. Check-in was fast. Despite being Priceline customers they were very accomodating to my request for adjoining rooms, and gave us access to one room early (11am) so that we could store our things, freshen up, and get on with our day. By New York standards the rooms are large. Facilities are clean and well maintained -- nice bathrooms with marble sinks and ceramic tiled floor and tub. We were not on a high floor, but the view was not obnoxious, and there was zero street noise. Fantastic subway access, and of course proximity to shows. Would definitely stay here again.

“Great view!”

Stayed at the Hilton Times Square with my mother during the New York City portion of our vacation. (We spent a few days in NYC and then went to California to finish out the remainder of the trip.) We stayed 3/4 through 3/6.

Check-in started out a bit rough. When I made my reservations I requested an early check in and I called the day before to verify and I was told that it would be no problem. We show up at the hotel and we were very rudely informed that we could NOT check in early. I nicely explained that we had been promised an early check in because we had a business meeting we had to get ready for but the female desk clerk refused to help us. We ended up just taking over the ladies room in the lobby and with the help of a VERY patient bellman (Caesar) we found all the clothes and makeup we needed to get ready for the meeting. Without the help bellman Caesar I don't know what we would have done!

Anyway, when we were finally able to check into the room we were on the 37th floor. We had an AMAZING view of the city looking downtown. The view made us forget about the trouble we had checking in.

The room was nice, slightly larger than the room we normally have at the Sofitel (the hotel where we usually stay.) The beds were pretty comfortable and the hotel was quiet. With the exception of the desk clerk we encountered the staff was very friendly.

There needed to be more vanity space in the bathroom and the only mirror in the room was in the bathroom. There needed to be one in the "main room".

All in all it was a nice stay and the hotel was nice. I'm sure I'll stay there again.

“Great Hotel”

Have just returned from a weekend away march 4 - 7th. Our room was on the 37th floor and we had great views of the Empire State building and the river. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable.
Location is excellent and only a few minutes from the heart of Time Square. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would not hesitate to stay there again.

“Great stay”

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 5 nights from 23rd to 28th Feb 05 and had a fantastic time. I decided on this Hotel having read the reviews on this website & I wasn't disappointed. Staff were friendly & our room was very spacious with the bed one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in! Can't comment I'm afraid on their breakfast or dinner as we ate out every day/night. Hotel is in a great location and meant we could walk to a lot of the sights and shops. Only downside (albeit small) was our room was on a low floor so we didn't have a great view out of our window. Having said that we weren't in our room long enough during our stay to really mind and we did go on a helicopter ride over the city which kind of made up for it!
