“Relaxation with style”

Tower23 Hotel

We found this hotel quite by accident. And we are please to report that it was a very happy experience. We had been travelling for about 2 months prior and were ready for a chill out and relax period by a beach in the sun and the location of Tower 23 fitted this requirement perfectly. We stayed for 5 nights in one of the rooms overlooking the sea. (and above the restaurant). The room itself was was very sylish and contemporary and we loved sitting on the balcony watching the world go by. We found it was a real bonus having such a great restaurant in the hotel and also had food delivered to our room. We had great service from pretty much everyone we encountered. There was some noise from the restaurant in our room but this stopped around midnightish and we didn't find it a real issue at all. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“A Bit of Wonderful!!”

Tower23 Hotel

What an incredible place to spend a few days, or more! From the word go it was terrific. I liked the lack of pretentious superiority so many higher end hotel staff like to throw your way. None of that here. The staff just wanted to help and be accommodating.

Our room was wonderful. Minimalist, think "W" hotel style. Its very best feature was the private balcony overlooking the ocean. We slept at night with the windows open listening to crashing waves all night. Heavenly!

Don't know what kind of bed it was (should have checked) but it and linens just perfect. Seldom when travelling do I feel at home as much as I did in their bed.

The scallops served in the hotel's signature restaurant JRDN are amongst the best I've ever had. The room service breakfast equally wonderful.

I might suggest doing what it takes to get a room with the ocean view. The interior rooms without just didn't appear anywhere nearly as compelling.

The location of the hotel is perfect too. Literally just a few steps to the beach. The hotel is right in the middle of the action too. Just behind it is a supermarket for mixes, wine, whatever.

Lots of life but not rowdy, felt perfectly comfortable night and day. Higher end beach scene going on here. Surfers out day and night. Stroll on beach, on walkway above, or along shop sidewalks.

Valet parking quick and courteous. Check in informed and efficient. We had a package affair with my name personalized onto each appropriate voucher. Nice touch.

As it is a popular night spot as well if you want to take advantage of sleeping with balcony doors open I'd also recommend requesting a room on the beach south end of building as the noisier action below is at the north end of the hotel building.

Although I've stayed at fancier hotels, I am hard pressed to think of an overall hotel experience that I've enjoyed more. No doubt it was expensive but I think it was good value for money. Often I think that I've overpaid and not received what I expected for my hotel dollar. Not here.

Highly, highly recommended. You'd almost think I have some ulterior motive, and I don't. It is just nice to see a no-name independent hotel put such a good foot forward.

“The room is good but the food and the service is bad”

Tower23 Hotel

I stayed there for my company's Christmas party. I liked the location and the design of the hotel; very modern and right next to the beach. The room and the bed was very comfy.

However, I had problem since I checked in. The service was terrible and not professional at all - maybe the front desk people're not well trained or they're racism. They did not appoloize for the mistakes they made.

I had breakfast in their restaurant and found mold in my fruit for 2 consecutive mornings. The manager came out to appologize for the 1st morning but not the 2nd one. How horrible it was!

“Sanctuary Suite was just that...”

Tower23 Hotel

My boyfriend surprised me with a romantic stay at Tower23. Our experience, starting with a quick check-in, was very positive. We stayed in a Sanctuary Suite...king size bed, that you sink into, huge bath tub, ocean view, plasma mounted on the wall, and even an X-Box. Needless to say, we had a great time! Make sure to try the sushi at the restaurant and/or breakfast in the patio. This is a great place to stay when you want to get away for some R&R.

“Overpriced!”

Tower23 Hotel

Jun 4, 2008

We stayed here for 2 nites...that's about all we could afford!
We were shocked at the price they get. The rooms are nicely appointed, but certainly not for the price. The overall feel is pretty snotty, which does not go with a beach atmosphere!
We have stayed in the past at Capri by the Sea, but it was sold out. We will definately stay at Capri in the future. For LESS money you get a 1 or 2 bedroom condo with a full kitchen! SAME VIEW!
If you are concerned with price, this is not the place for you.
Just go North a few blocks to the Capri, you'll be glad you did.
