I stayed at the Omni for 4 days for a work conference and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect - 5 minutes from the Convention Center and right next to the Gaslamp District and trolley. Everything was so close and convenient. My room was clean and very modern - I enjoyed having free Internet access as well.

I had read other reviews that stated noise could be a concern due to the trains. I mentioned this at check-in and they moved me to another room.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone - both business travelers and leisure travelers.

This was my first experience with an Omni hotel, I was very pleased. The decor of the hotel is very clean and stylish. My travelling companion really enjoyed the starbucks coffee in our room. The beds were very comfy. The location can't be beat.

The only potential issue is the proximity to the stadium. Our room was inches from Petco Park. Luckily there were no games during our stay. I'm not sure if this would have presented a noise issue.

We'd definitely stay again!

Being in the tourism industry I get to travel and stay at different hotels. Last week I took a family trip to San Diego and decided to stay at the OMNI San Diego. My wife makes fun of me because even while on vacation, I am looking at details of hotels, restaurants or any tourism related service. I have not been impressed by an hotel in a long time, but the OMNI shure made me say WOW. The hotel is well located and the service is just superb. But the best asset of the hotel is its people. Everyone was of great service and knew when to approach guests, and when to keep a distance and let them enjoy the hotel.
For sure I will be back (soon)

We booked a room for $99/night for the Memorial Day weekend through Travel Zoo. The hotel exceeded my expectations. I joined the Select Guest for free on the Omni website and you receive a free room upgrade in the mail. So when we arrived, the front desk attendant upgraded us to a bigger room that was wonderful. Then every morning through Select Guest, you select two beverages of your choice per person that arrives at the time you want it to. The room was extremely clean and the hotel staff is extra friendly and helpful.

We rented a car and there is a garage literally 20 steps away that ranged from $8-14/night to leave your car. Or if you come for the weekend, after 6PM on Saturday the parking is free on the streets and include all day free Sunday parking. So you save on that extra expense. Plus if you look closely on the North side of the hotel across from the parking garage (6th St between K and L) there is a free strip all day lomg if you need to come in and out of the hotel.

This hotel was so great that I am booking another long weekend here for the Fourth of July. I was going to Vegas that weekend, but after our stay here I decided to come back immediately!
