My wife, college age son, and I were in town to see Boston College. This was the weekend of the Marathon, and this was the only "reasonably" priced hotel we could book.
We were prepared for the worst, but our room was newly renovated on the third floor, and was just fine.
There is a shuttle that will take you to the airport or to the nearby Metro stop. We were there three nights, and used the Metro for the first two days. It can add 10 or 15 minutes to wait at the station for the shuttle to come get you, but we were not worried for our safety, even at 11pm.
Our room keys often would not work, requiring a trip down to the desk to recharge them, which was mildly annoying.
We were able to use the wireless with no trouble... but it was not super fast. You have to pick up the password at the check-in desk... the staff did not point that out.
We did not eat at the hotel, we ate at downtown. In fact, we were only at the hotel to sleep... we headed out first thing in the morning, and returned after dinner.
The staff was polite and helpful (except for one instance when we called for the internet password and she was annoyed that we hadn't picked it up).
I think things will improve as the remodel progresses.
