“Great Stay in Boston”

Radisson Hotel Boston

4 of 5 stars

Booked this hotel through Priceline.com. Had never used it before so I was a bit worried, but turned out great. We paid $125 a night instead of the $300+ standard rate. Hotel doesn't look that impressive from the outside but is newly renovated on the inside.

Right from check-in the staff couldn't have been nicer and were extremely professional and courteous. Shout out to John H. the daytime concierge, he was extremely nice and helped us with the trolly tour.

The rooms were very nice. We were on the 16th floor and had no issues with noise from the street. There is a bit of construction going on next door, but we had no issues with it and actually enjoyed watching the crane at work!

The room had 2 queen size sleep number beds - they were quite comfortable and the kids had fun pressing the buttons and making the mattress go up and down! The bathroom was very bright and modern and extremely clean. The rest of the hotel was very clean also.

The kids had fun in the pool, however, not the most impressive pool I've every seen and I decided not to take a dip myself. Could use some work. Nice sun deck attached though.

The location of the hotel is great. Only 1 block or so to the T and Boston Common. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, etc. in the area.

We had a great time in Boston and would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again.

“Beautiful Room, Great Location”

This hotel has very beautiful rooms. The outside of the hotel is very ordinary so it surprises you on how lovely the rooms are. The room we stayed in had two queen sized Sleep Number beds and down comforters. The sheets were soft and everything was sparkling clean. The hotel is located one block from the Boston Common and about five blocks from the start of the Freedom Trail. Starbucks, CPK and Legal Seafood is right across the street.
My only complaint is the pool. The water was cloudy, the tiles around the edge were filthy and paint was peeling off in places. It was pretty awful. There is a small fitness room and a sundeck on the roof, which is very nice.
I would stay here again.

“Decent hotel...great location...but avoid the breakfast deal/ scam!”

Radisson Hotel Boston

Apr 27, 2008

We recently stayed for 3 nights on a family trip to Boston. The rooms were newly renovated, clean and comfortable. When making my reservation I opted for the $15 daily breakfast coupon (by paying $10 extra a night)...that was a mistake...when we visited the hotel cafe we found the breakfast prices to be VERY high...$16 for the breakfast buffet...and about $10 for every entree...so breakfast for a family of 5 would have been big bucks...so much for the $5 savings with the breakfast coupon. When I attempted to return the coupons and insist on a refund of the $10 a day, the front desk gave me a very hard time...after a bit of an argument, they issued the begrudgingly refund...call it a coincidence, but that night we received a surprise 3:30am wake up call....clearly a little revenge from the front desk staff....we promptly unplugged all our phones as to avoid any further "mistakes" by our pals at the front desk!!!

Besides this little issue, the hotel was clean, reasonably prices and well located. MANY great restaurants within walking distance...

“Mediocre hotel in great location”

Radisson Hotel Boston

3 of 5 stars
Albany, NY
Apr 21, 2008

We took a chance and booked this on Hotwire for a weekend trip to Fenway. The location was great- close to the T, and yet walkable to bars/restaurants/etc.
But...the room had ants. The sliding glass door was so thin that we could hear all the construction (they start early!) next door, and the street noise from a club next door was a little much at 2 a.m... this coming from a room on the 24th floor. I dont know if its louder down by the street.
Would I stay there again? If there was a deal. If I found a better deal somewhere else, I would go there.

“A great station for our Boston Adventure”

Radisson Hotel Boston

4 of 5 stars
London, England
Apr 19, 2008

We stayed at the Radisson for 4 days.

When arriving we were very worried as the outside of the building looked old and dated. However, once we got inside we were very impressed.

The room was big and had 2 large beds in it. Bathroom was great as well.

Used the pool whislt staying. This was clean but not too impressive, a juccuzzi or sauna would be nice.

Ate at the cafe ajoined to it and had Boston's biggest burger which was great.

Overall this hotel is very much get what you pay for but I'd recommend it for a typical city sight seeing tour where you just need a room to sleep and shower.
