My girlfriend and I stayed in this apartment for one week in February. There are a seies of small studio units within the apartment. I'll just get right to what was good and what was not so good about the stay. Firstly, It's in a very nice neighbourhood, and there are a few nice resturants/cafes and convenience stores within very close proximity. Perhaps the best thing about this place is that it's so close to the city; a five minute walk and youre at a major shopping/retail centre and subway. It was very convenient.
Now onto the room... Overall it's fairly modern, as in there's no old junky furniture or appliances. It's pretty small, but the high ceilings are nice, and the lighting is good. The floor is wood. There is a door that leads outside to a common balcony / sitting area which is nice. The room had a stove top, sink, fridge/freezer, toaster oven, coffee brewer, and microwave. They also supply dishes, cutlery, and cook ware. The down side is that since everything's so compacted there's nowhere to put these things on but a small breakfast table.
I wasn't satisfied with the Queen bed, I really think they need to change the matress because it was noisy and the bed sunk in the middle. Maybe it's not like that for all the units, I don't know. What is good was there was a whole extra set of sheets for the bed, as well as extra towels in the bathroom and pillows. The bathroom is small but I guess thats not a big deal.
My biggest problem with the apartment was the noise from various things. The heating coming into the room at night was loud enough to make getting to sleep more difficult. You can hear other peoples water running quite loudly, and you can hear and even feel people walking and doing stuff in the next room. So if your neighbours are noisy, you will definatly hear it.
Overall, the studio apartment here is not bad, but not great. For me, a bit more insulation from noise, a better bed and more counter space would have made it a great stay rather than a ok stay. I'm not sure if all of the units in there are that small (i know at least a few are) but I wouldn't recomend this size apartment for more than two people (though a cot is in the room). I guess a lot of what you pay for is the great location.
