The Jurys Hotel in Boston is a nice facility but the value received for the room rate is questionable. When you pay a top rate, you expect a top end experience all the way around and I didn't experience that at Jurys. It's what is missing that makes Jurys fall short.
The good things:
1) The rooms are very nice and well appointed. The tiled bathrooms are large and feature a tub plus a stand up shower with multi nossle sprays. I had no problems with water pressure. The radio system was turned on when I first arrived in the room which gave me the impression that this place is special. Nice touch.
2) The main lobby has a lot of places to sit and gather with friends or business clients or just for a peaceful read of the morning paper.
3) The staff was very eager to please and make the stay more enjoyable. I know a night manager came to a buddy's room at 1 am to make up a fold away couch.
4) The bar and restaurant were nice and again everyone was eager to please.
The missing:
1) The main lobby coffee bar was not open and not operating in the am (or at all as far as I could tell) and the hotel was booked for the evening.
2) There were no vending machines anywhere to get a soda.
3) The workout room is a joke for this class a hotel. A few machines but no steam, sauna, or nothing.
You get what you pay for and in this case, I felt like I was staying in a super elegant Comfort Inn and I didn't even get a free breakfast.
