Business serviceWhen we arrived at our hotel room we where greeted by dirty dishes at the entry way. Not a good sign. The bathroom needed more attention as was evident with hair in the shower and urine on the toilets pedastal. Otherwise, the rest of the room was ok.
The pool was small and heavily chlorinated - bring goggles. The jacuzzi fit maybe 6 adults? Just ok. The gym left me unmotivated to work out and I normally work out 5 days a week/2 hours each day. The breakfast hours are ridiculous - Come on!! 9am!! We're on vacation - who wants to get up and have to rush to get down there. My advice - early bird get the worm!! And bring it back to the room for the rest of us....Thanks husband of mine!! The airconditioner is very noisy when it comes on - in fact so much so it would wake our 1 year old every 15 minutes or so. He got use to it after the first night - probably because he just so darn exhausted. As for the staff - great job - very attentive to our needs. In fact we lost our cold water and maintenance had us up and running in less than 30 minutes!! The view from our room 1027 was awesome!! Apparantley there is only 4 rooms with such views. The park is right outside the hotel - very conveniant when you have small children, and the "T" (subway) is just beyond the park - perfect location...Request the 10th floor and bring some disinfectant wipes and you're stay will go from ok to average!

ServiceNew hotel with convenient location @ Logan (although they charge $32/day for parking). No noise from the airport which was very surprising. The 'T' (Blue line subway) is a very short walk across the street. We had a Suite with a kitchenette, 2 TV's, 2 Queen size beds and a pull-out couch, the entire layout was kinda small but if you're only staying for somewhere to sleep and most of your time will be in the city it's fine. Found the Pool to be very small and only 3 1/2 ft at deepest point (it was good for the 6 yr old), Hot tub was out of order. Complementary breakfast looked great but we missed it because it ended at 9 AM, too early after a night in the big city. There's a great, brand-new park with a playground directly across from the front entrance with new soccer and baseball fields, also a new paved walking path (the 12 year old was bummed he didn't bring his skateboard). Overall it was very clean and we would recommend it compared with paying the $300-$400+ rates in the heart of Boston (AAA rate was around $200 for a Suite).

ServiceRoom was clean. Location was about 5 seconds from the airport, and it also has a T (subway) stop about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Downsides: Internet is not included (approx $10 a day), and the only parking is valet ($20 a night). Just seems that you get nickle and dimed to death these days, but I guess thats hotels in a big city. Breakfast was decent, and maybe a little better than your average Embassy Suites breakfast. Overall a good hotel that likes to charge you for everything.
Compared with other Embassy Suites I have stayed in, this one was far smaller than the ones I have stayed in in Chicago, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. But as I've said in earlier posts, if you're staying in Boston, that's the way it is. The hotel, however, appears to be fairly new, very clean and in good to excellent condition--not "worn-out" or banged up like some Embassies I have stayed in. The bed had numerous fluffy pillows and the alarm clock is quite handy and easy to use. The bed seemed a bit lumpy but there might have been a pillow top on it. Still, I got a good night's sleep and I was surprised that being so close to the airport, it was fairly quiet. The mini fridge and sink, found in most Embassy Suites is always a nice addition. Unlike the other three Embassy Suites I have stayed in, the hallways at this Embassy Suites are not "open" in does not overlook an atrium. Being a solo female traveler, this is one of the main reasons I stay at the Embassy Suites and I was concerned that this safety feature was not part of the hotel.
I have some concerns about customer service and I hope in time some will be corrected. After picking up my baggage, I called the hotel to ask for a van pick-up. I asked the operator where to wait. I travel to Boston irregularly and sometimes I forget where I have to go for van pick-up. I want to make sure I'm going to the right place. Hotel employees should remember that travelers don't always know where to go--that is why they are contacting the front desk. I'm wondering if the majority of the guests who stay here are business guests or airline crew who stay at the hotel often and "know the ropes." Her reply was rather rude and abrupt--I was asking a question, in a neutral tone--I wasn't yelling at her. The van driver, on the other hand, was very kind, helpful and accommodating. I am awaiting a phone call from lost and found about an item I left in my room--this is my second phone call and both calls have been directed to voice mail.
