My husband and I just returned from a week-long trip in New England and ended our hiatus in Boston. What a way to conclude a vacation! The owners of 30 Claremont Place are gracious, knowledgable hosts who happen to own one of the most elegant homes in the South End. Being an architect myself and married to a residential contractor, we were blown away with their home. It was gorgeous.

Although we were completely cool with the openness of the house, it should be known that they have literally opened up THEIR home to their guests. The second floor houses two guests suites with the third floor featuring the master bedroom and access to the roof deck. Continental breakfast is available in the basement level kitchen which is the owners' kitchen, as well. For those allergic to cats or dogs, there is a resident of each in the home.

We felt like we were staying at the home of close friends.... The South End is accessible to so much and we never even had to use public transportation. Street parking is available within one block of the house. This is a definite recommendation for my friends and family.

Unfortuneately our stay was only 2 nights, but how we wished we had stayed longer. This was such a great home. Our hosts were so accommodating. The whole of the house was available for us to use if we wanted. Even the Sunroof, which was such a pleasure after a long day of walking. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The ensuite bathroom was also of a reasonable size, given these small roomed houses. Breakfast was laid out ready for us in the mornings, following which we could sit with our host's to eat. We even had the invite to sit in their lounge & watch TV in the evenings.
Our hosts we also very knowledgeable about the area & gave us plenty of ideas as to where to visit.
The location of this B&B in the South End of town, just of Columbus Ave was only 4 mins walking to the Prudential centre. Which became our landmark to navigate us home each evening. From there we walked most of the city. i will definately mark this B&B as a place for a return visit. (soon, i hope).
