“Top Notch Hotel! Should be 5 Star!”

Recently returned from my 2nd stay at the Hotel Commonwealth (HC) and I highly recommend! I travel to Boston often, and usually stay at the Four Seasons because it is closer to my headquarters, however, decided to return to HC for a change from my usual routine. Honestly, I believe this hotel to be very close to that of the Four Seasons quality. The Commonwealth Room (jr. Suite) is huge and comfortable. 2 TV's, 2 phones, huge comfy king bed, Wi-Fi, great decor, extremely clean, (especially enjoyed the L'Occitane products, again, same as you'll see at the Four Seasons). The setup of the room is especially nice, as you can separate the sleeping side from the "Business/lounge" side with a huge curtain if necessary. Also, loved that the bathroom has a door separating toilet from bath/sink/dressing area. The service was impeccable. Front desk extremely courteous and helpful. Loved the nice touch of a personalized letter at turn down, thanking me for returning, along with some yummy treats. Gym is a tad on the small side, and that is the only partial negative I have of this hotel. The location is great, too. This hotel really feels like top notch luxury, with a bit of a twist (decor is not your average hotel decor). I can't wait to return during my next business trip.

“Hotel Commonwealth lovely but...”

Hotel Commonwealth

Feb 7, 2008

My husband and I just returned from a overnight stay at the Hotel Commonwealth, it was a lovely property the staff was very nice and helpful. We stayed in a commonwealth room which was very large with a extremely comfy king bed. I would reccomend this hotel the only draw back being we were on the third floor directly above the hotel restaraunt Eastern Standard and our room smelled of food the whole time.

“A brilliant hotel, Loved it.”

Hotel Commonwealth

Jan 27, 2008

Hotel Commonwealth, Boston Back Bay area.

We have just returned from our third visit to the Hotel Commonwealth, and it is just as we remembered. It is superbly managed, every request is met with charm and professionalism. The Director of Guest Services organised every aspect of our trip brilliantly, thoroughly professionally and with care and consideration. The Reception staff are excellent, informative and friendly, likewise the Concierge and Doormen .
The rooms are huge, with L'Occitaine products and a lovely comfortable bed with soft linen sheets and quilts. House keeping is excellent and the rooms are spotless . DVD's are available free, and arrive with a bag of popcorn. Turndown service arrives with cookies, and any other products you may require.
We ate breakfast in the Eastern Standard each morning and were very well looked after.
It is a first class hotel in every respect and we can't wait for our next visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

“Very Nice”

Hotel Commonwealth

Minneapolis, MN

Overall stay very good. Hotel decor beautiful, service very good, location (directly above Kenmore "T" station) convenient. Restaurant in hotel (Great Bay) is awful -- avoid at all costs. Hotel exercise room small, and treadmills of low quality.
